A sleeve made primarily of high quality fiber glass provides an excellent heat shield.

WIRE HEAT SHIELD IS EASY TO INSTALL This wire heat shield is easy to install. The fiberglass sleeving can withstand continuous temperatures of 600°F and intermittent temperatures of 1100°F. The wires are incorporated inside an AN hose, cables, cans, ect. Radiant heat can be reduced by up to 60 percent with these.

Heat shield car black fiberglass hot rod sleeve helps to prevent vapor lock, protect wires from melting, shielding brake lines and hose, and stopping clutch cables from melting. It also serves as a heat shield for wire looms. Fittings, cables, terminals, and more can be expanded and contracted with it.

Initially I bought this in order to protect the plastic hoses on my powder coating applicator from the 400 degree temperatures it would be subject to when touching the rack which holds the parts that need to be powder coated and it works better than I thought it would. This purchase was worth every penny, and I'm very happy with it.

Wrapping your fuel lines will protect them, and it might be able to insulate your spark plug wires as well

What I think of this item when I first received it I found the sleeves to be rather thin, but I like the amount of material it has. There is a possibility that I can cut a pump that is double the length that I My next step will be to make the sleeve double layered. My item just arrived.
I unboxed it just now. Once I have it installed and have had a chance to try it for a week, I can write an appropriate.

It's very good looking as well as In spite of being considerably cheaper than DEI brand, these are also similar and very nice. DEI brand was more of the look I was going for because of the wider weave. These heat sleeves have a smaller tighter weave, and may even be more effective at keeping heat out.

It's installed on a BMW X5M I just finished setting up a dual catch can Installing the hose sleeves on the hoses was very straightforward and cleaned up nicely with a little marine grade heat shrink on either end of the hose. This is a really great product and I would strongly recommend it.

This can be used as an exhaust pipe cover for children's bikes You won't instantly be scorched if you bump it for a fraction of a second. But it still gets hot enough to burn.
