Covering the wiring inside of a coil cooktop is what I intend to use this for. In addition to the wiring melting, the pots used to extend the coils keep melting as well. Could you please tell me if this is okay?

If you want to insulate the pot, you could use this, but I am not sure what kind of need you have.
