Questions & Answers

The Tahoe I have is an 04 model. How can I stop people backing up at a gas pump with this or what else could cause that to happen?

The part in question is just ONE of the four that could be the problem, but if you are performing the repair you should purchase the entire set. There is also a vapor canister vent solenoid, an adapter harness for the wires, and a The four books should be purchased together. It is actually the other three parts that seem to be in trouble rather than this canister but the charcoal in this canister is what is the root of the problem since the pellets of carbon get loose in here and become stuck inside the other 3 parts. You may be able to fix the issue if you replace the other 3 parts, but you'll probably have the same issue again (within a year or so) because the old charcoal pieces in the canister will eventually deteriorate. In order to get all the pellets out, you should replace all 4 of the parts at the same time. If you still have the issue, you must dump the gas tank and blow air through the hoses. Fortunately, replacing these 4 parts will solve the issue 90% of the time without requiring the gas tank to be removed. Thank you. I hope this was helpful. I hope you had a good day, and do not put more gas in the tank after the first click off in order to prevent this from happening believe that this canister part has a fatal design flaw, but it is what it is. Regarding the pellets, it is necessary to comply with laws so that the fumes are captured

On a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, how can this stop the gas tank from filling up slowly?

You may have a problem with the canister, but if you now experience slow filling you also have something else going wrong. It is highly recommended that you take your vehicle to a professional if you are uncomfortable removing the gas tank to clean out all the EVAP lines on top of the tank. Changing the purge valve is a good idea, but it "may" be possible to clean it. It is also important that you remember the vacuum line from the tank to the engine.

This product would fit a 2011 Tahoe LTZ Is this 3L or 4L?

There is no need to use this feature if your GMT800 platform has a non-proprietary interface An engine that runs on flexfuel.

In my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali 1500, I have the 6 cylinder engine. The second line. The part you're looking for fits that vehicle, right?

You should check the displacement of your engine. There should be six instead of five. The word 0L should be used instead of Canister of Vapor 215 It is not possible to fit 464. It is important to know the size of the truck bed before ordering the correct canister. The possible part number 215608 can be found at Rock Auto

After several minutes of struggling, I finally succeeded in pumping gas without resetting the pump lever every few minutes
5/5

The first purge valve I used was the AC Delco 214 The main canister filter 1105 and the side canister filter that sits to the left of it don't improve on each other. It has been my goal to get this unit for my 2004 Yukon XL 1500 with the 5 cylinder. I was able to solve my problem by using only the Vortec gas configuration. In the future, I can simply leave the gas pump nozzle open until it is full, and the fuel gauge on my car will read It was very difficult to install without a jack and jack stands however I managed to do it. An umbrella, a lighter, a socket wrench, and a small flat head screwdriver are all you need. The pros are I. - The problem with my gas pump has been fixed - It is relatively inexpensive*- You don't need any special tools for this

CONS- Sized down from the original 3 slightly smaller. There is no bracket for this 3L Container, nor does it fit into the bracket as the original did (see pictures).
- There is no easy way to get to this place.

The 2005 Yukon 5 can be fitted perfectly with this part
5/5

I am sure there are many others as well. You might need to check the charcoal canister to make sure it isn't plugged with dirt, or worse yet, burst, and causing the vapor lines to overflow. In case pellets fall out when you disconnect the canister, you'll know. You will need to remove the canister and bracket and leave the lines open if this is the case. After pressurizing the tank with compressed air and a rag, you will see pellets shoot from the large vapor line at the fill cap. Disconnect the solenoid at the intake manifold and the smaller vapor line at the fill cap. Compressed air and an air nozzle with a rubber tip are used to push pellets out of smaller line lines. My line had so many pellets that I had to blow air from tank to manifold and from manifold to tank over 20+ times to remove them all. Make sure to turn over the purge solenoid upside down to get pellets out.

Product works well, but I had a problem in 2005 Tahoe
5/5

When I would try to fuel, the pump would shut off after a gallon, very frustrating. There was also a check engine light on for a large vapor leak, but I don't recall the code, so I looked on YouTube and found a video about this particular issue, and they said it needed replacing. My check engine light came on when I started my car after I replaced the old unit with this one, since it was an exact match. My gas tank was full when I arrived at the gas station, aWESOME! In conclusion, if you have the same problems as I did, this product is a great buy, it's cheap and offers a lot of other features. Happy to have been chosen.

Tahoe 2007, a 2007 Chevy
5/5

I have a 2007 Tahoe and this fits perfectly. This installation didn't have any issues and seems to have solved the EVAP code that was thrown, as well as the stopping of the fueling hose near the pump while filling.

The following is the guideline that I experienced with the EVAP Emission Cleaners (at the time, all parts were purchased from Please read carefully

- This ACDelco part number is In addition to the 9 Tahoe, the Sierra 1500 will work with the 2311 too. It was a 19257603 adapter harness on a 3 engine, but I needed it. You do not get hoses or charcoal filters with it. In addition, the hose that connects the gas tank to this will rip and the vent will malfunction. Not much, just 2cm). I then heat treated the hose (DO NOT OVER HEAT, go slow) to make it fit with a heat gun (a torch will give you a higher chance of overheating). As the hose was still hot, I placed six inches of needle nose pliers inside the hose on the canister end and increased the diameter. Once I fitted it to the vent (the biggest challenge is to get it past the lip of canister on which the hose sits), I heated it one more time and forced the outside of the hose connected to the canister as it cooled to get Due to the absence of a separate charcoal filter on the market, I kept my original charcoal filter. Please read carefully

- For my original vent canister for my 09 Tahoe / 07 Sierra 1500 5, I have 96553405. The wiring harness for the adapter did not need to be used with the engine. In order to troubleshoot, I needed to follow the same steps as Please read carefully

- There's probably a better route than 23481275 for you. There is a new charcoal filter attached to the unit and the hoses. To use it, you will need an adapter wiring harness 9257603. There is a new look to the canister and the hoses attached to it are located at different places, so don't be alarmed. am not sure if the metal clip that is bolted to the vehicle will allow it to slide in. It wouldn't be an issue for me if I ran into such a scenario, I would either secure it with heavy duty zip ties or twist on metal wire. Please read carefully

- This ACDelco part number is Those who own a 09 Tahoe or 07 Sierra 1500 5. 0 should use a 1680. It's a 3 engine, and I used it. It is not necessary to perform any extra work. The plug and play feature makes it very easy to use. Please read carefully

- The ACDelco 215A Tahoe 5 ft 464 will fit in 2009 Although I am unsure whether it will fit an 07 Sierra 1500, it seems likely to do so. You must be careful when removing the clips from the hoses, because they will be brittle from the weather and time. For those who break them, I found some at Autozone, but I had to use a Dremel to grind away some plastic so that they could fit properly.

Exactly the same as OEM
5/5

I would say that this is a well-done work Duplicated OEM canister for a cost of $300. My only complaint is that I had to lay on my back to work overhead under my vehicle and that the snaps were difficult to use. In OEM lines, they are connected to connectors. My solution to free the process was to cut the nipple from the old canister. It is also important to note that the line connecting the fuel tank to the canister may be clogged with charcoal pellets and needs to be cleaned. There is a good chance that pellets are also clogging the line to the tank if pellets pour out of the old canister when it's removed. In some cases, this might involve lowering the tank so that the fuel line can be accessed at the opposite end at the tank, then blowing it out It is not recommended to drop the tank as it could lead to explosion. I used a different method to unclog the line that did not involve dropping the tank. When you are filling the fuel tank, if the handle does not shut off when you are filling the tank, there is a clog in the fuel line. In the event that you receive a P0449 code after installation, you may need to replace the vent valve/purge value - both of which are relatively simple to replace.
