Questions & Answers

There is a 2005 Silverado in my possession. If I bought the ACDelco 19257603 wiring harness along with this, would it work on my truck?

The part worked for me, but I believe you need to order a different one for the

Fuel takes a long time to fill up my 04 Avalanche. Could anyone tell me if this part solved that problem?

Sadly, the first part was defective, so I am in the middle of a RMA at the moment. I did find out, however, and it's helped a lot, that what I had to do was remove the charcoal canister and apply compressed air to expand it, after which I tapped it with a rubber mallet to break up the coal lump that formed. As soon as the charcoal started moving again, I heard it. You should give it a shot!

The Silverado 5 was built in 2008. The motor has 3 cylinders. Flex fuel is not available. Is this going to work & what does the wiring harness look like?

As for Silverado, I don't know anything about it However, I would suggest I call the dealers parts department, and get them to give you the parts numbers for your Silverado, and then double-check that each part is correct for your vehicle Verify that both part numbers are the same. I did that to make sure the items I purchased on Amazon would fit and work properly.

What does this have to do with avalanche 2008 in Venezuela?

This ACDelco part number is I have the 2164 configuration on my 2008 Chevy Avalanche and it works perfectly.

WE HAVE SOLVED P0449 ON AVALANCHE VIN 3 ON 2008 I saved myself a lot of money
5/5

As you likely know, I have read all the other reviews and I must thank them for their detailed reviews, which provided me with the courage to order this and install it. Although I'm a complete novice with vehicle repair, I was able to complete this project after reading everyone's instructions and watching some really good YouTube videos about Chevy Silverado or other trucks. This does not work without the electronic HARNESS people mention on Amazon as an item people can buy alongside it. I recommend that you take a look at ACDELCO's website if you are worried about whether or not these parts will fit your vehicle. It's clunky and they don't directly sell anything, but it will tell you which parts will fit. In the end, I managed to save the difference in the $260 'easy fix' my dealer was telling me it would be with the harness I purchased and this part I bought. In addition to charging within $10 of the dealers' $160 dollar inflated price for these parts, every parts store in the area also charged within $10 of the dealer's price. Therefore you have a 3x markup on the parts, plus another $100 that the dealer wanted for a task that took less than 15 minutes. You mechanics out there know that there is a lot of give and take in the fees a garage incurs versus what they earn, but considering I had just handed the dealer 1700 for some other serious repairs, I feel entitled to claim that they should have given me a bigger

At the end of it all, I am just glad I was able to let the engine code go away, get my emissions control system up to snuff, and save a few dollars. Although removing that bolt seems tough, it's just a tight fit for your hands -- we honestly thought it would be worse -- and once you get the right size socket installed (don't forget it's metric) in the right spot, it's really not that I found it harder to remove the hose from what some people describe as the 'carbon box,' which is higher up towards the front of the car. The location of that thing makes it difficult for big hands to grasp. It is a good idea to check out the new part and observe how the release button works so that you will know where to push when your frozen Fred Flintstone fingers finally manage to fit inside. In newbie's words, you can gently but firmly wiggle it off. It doesn't exactly pop off, so newbies like me should know they should be careful and cautious. Getting rid of it is easy as long as you press that button correctly. The other piece of advice I would offer is to pay attention to where that tube attaches to the carbon box from where the canister attaches. As soon as I put it back on, I wasn't sure where to put it. As soon as I found the spot, it was easy to tell I had it in the right spot since the tube is pre-positioned It bent over to clear the obstacles that would stand in its Here is a link that might help. If you're a noob, then it's slightly more difficult than changing an air filter, but it depends on the situation and what you're trying to achieve It doesn't require much disassembly since there isn't much you need to empty the chamber. Be careful clipping those zip ties and be careful not to yank on anything. If you are anything like me, you're not sure what's going on.

The patient does not fit, even though it is identified as such
3/5

As far as the hose that hooks up to the gas filler vent is concerned, this is the right item. A 2010 Chevy Avalanche, 5x4, 4x4 with a manual transmission, is being driven by me. There is a fixed hose that comes down from the filler neck and has a clip to attach to the cannister of the 3L Flex Fuel engine. Despite being advertised as being compatible with my application, this part is actually not - the hose is attached to the cannister through some type of filter connector that may be attached around the neck of the filler - but is not compatible with my application when we purchased the part. I had to go back and forth with GM parts direct to find the right diagram and find the right part number. It seems to be a wide-spread issue regarding part identification, and it makes me nervous to install the part. It takes a lot of time and can be frustrating. Since the defective part doesn't keep my truck from moving, the problem isn't life threatening, but I expect that efficiency might increase as soon as this is replaced, not to mention that I can use my remote start once.

Is a perfect fit and works perfectly
5/5

My engine light came on as soon as I put on the fuel. The part looks very good in quality and is perfectly fitting. The wire harness of my 2012 is the same as that of its vapor vent valve, so the adapter did not need to be installed. This has been going on for about two years The service has been up and running for three weeks without any issues.

Adapter 19257603 fits a 2007 Yukon XL Denali with a 7 inch screen
5/5

I installed it on my 2007 Yukon XL Denali with no problems. In order to use it, you will need the GM part 19257603, which makes the harness pluggable Enjoy the game. It's easy to do the job once you drop the spare tire. It took me about 20 minutes (not including the 15 minutes I spent looking for tools.

A new vent canister was installed
5/5

It is easy to install. As a result of this replacement, the previous vent canister and solenoid assembly was no longer functional. It was easy to install. In order to install it, follow the same steps as when removing the old part. Be careful not to bind the tubing that connects to the fuel tank when you install it, since it may kink, resulting in the check engine light. A bad vent solenoid will give the P0445 code, which means you need to replace it. In addition to the vent solenoid, this component will resolve the issue. I would highly recommend this part to anyone who is experiencing a problem with their "check engine light" that is giving the P0455 fault To connect this part to your vehicle's existing wiring, you also need AC Delco part # 19257603, an adapter called "jumper wiring," which connects this part to the adapter.

The installation process is very simple
5/5

Parts for my 2007 Chevy Avalanche were purchased from this retailer. It was an easy installation and the part fits The process is quite simple - just cut the zip ties, take off the old one, and replace it with the new one. You can install the canister even if you are not an auto mechanic, and the bolt holding it in place can be removed with only one wrench. If you want, you can add a few more zip ties to the exhaust tube that goes to the vent filter, however I didn't, since I used tape instead. I am happy to report that the installation was easy, and now I can fill up without venting problems and my check engine light is off. It is something that I would suggest anyone thinking of doing it on their own. This process takes about half an hour from beginning to end and you will save money than you would by going to the dealer.

Here's what I did to fix my problem
5/5

I used both of these together with AC Delco 19257603 Evaporative Emission Canister Valve Solenoid Jumper Wiring Harness Assembly to resolve the issue with my 2007 Tahoe's trouble light. I checked online and saw that this part had a vacuum leak code, so I had to replace it. Originally an OEM canister "jumper", the wire for the newer model has been changed to plug into this newer model. You can find a set of instructions on YouTube that are easy to follow. Cutting the wire ties holding the old part in place was as simple as cutting the tip of a flat tip screwdriver, using a 1/2" wrench and a knife. To hold the new hoses in place, you will also need new wire ties. I spent about an hour on the phone.

I fixed it

I received my order quickly and it was exactly what I needed. I was back in business in about 15 minutes, the error code was cleared, and no longer had a CEL. The system has been installed on an 08 GMC Yukon Denali along with a.
