This hose was replaced on my 06 Hummer H3, and I cleaned out the valve cover where the other PCV line (that was clogged) was located, and my oil light and starvation problem were resolved. There is obviously no flow of oil when the valve cover is up because the house would clap under vacuum, making it like a suction on the In these five cylinders, the other PCV hose (the intake side or driver side) tends to get clogged. If you poke a small drill bit through there, you should be able to remove the valve cover without removing the hose.
