These work in my diesel engines like a PCV valve - they release gas as needed and then vent as needed. Crankcase gases are directed to the turbo's intake side so they can be burned. Although it is the cheapest brand I could find, it is still way too expensive. It's basically a big metal can with some parts inside and an inlet and outlet port. *I'm not griping about the engine using it, but it is still way too expensive.
It seems to work well. It's factory OEM quality. It did not come out of its box right away, but I did look over its construction and finish beforehand. I found it to be a well-made product without obvious defects in the manufacturing process or during shipping. I’ve installed it and it appears to be working well. I haven’t experienced any more oil blowouts around the valve covers, filler cap, or oil pan joint. There was a problem with the old unit being locked in its It's a pity I couldn't get OEM here in town. Two of these are in my collection for later use as a spare.
