I have a 2008 Prius with a P0420. It would have cost over $1000 for the shop to complete the work. We find this part to be a direct replacement for AutoZone at a better price. Although I did use the free loan a tool program offered by AutoZone, I did not use the exhaust pipe cutter on my own. The cat comes with an accessory sleeve that allows it to be spliced in to an exhaust, but you will still need two 1 3/4" exhaust clamps and Walker 36454 spring bolt kit to accomplish it. Furthermore, I was able to reuse the exhaust gasket at the flange without any problems. After clearing the code, no further issues have occurred. A total of 2 hours were spent on this project.
