Questions & Answers
It does fit the GM oil pans and you change the pickup screens to fit deeper pans depending on your model
I have a 7 and the oil pump screen is perfect for it. There may be no baffles on this stock 5 inch oil pan. I assume it's a standard oil pan. It may be necessary to use a tool to manipulate the screen into the pump because the inside of the pump fits very tightly
The part number Melling #155s will fit instead, we recommend that.

It is a great design, but it needs a tool to press, so I created the photo I have added to the post.
Despite its size, it did not fit snugly Is effective at what it is intended to be. The oil pump was not able to fit it tightly. As a result, it was tack welded to guarantee that it would stay where I intended. In addition, it was clean, and did not contain welding or casting slag, as well as junk that should not have been underneath. You won't find a better product than this one.
This was 8L It is made to fit the M55HV pump, and its inlet diameter is 5/8". Oil pump pickup retainers are highly recommended, or you can tack weld these onto any oil pump on the market. I think it is worth the money. The high pressure pump I installed on my Chevrolet kept me from running out of fuel. I had searched all over for this part, and Amazon had it at an affordable price. It's crucial that you get the inlet sizes right this time or you'll I would buy this product.
