In addition to replacing the intake and exhaust solenoids if your check engine light is on, consider replacing both the intake and exhaust sensors. In the six months leading up to each failure, I failed two times. For me, this part fixed the problem and the car is running fine now.

Easy to install. Did it in my driveway with a few sockets and tools. I received a quote for parts and labor for $279 from a local shop. If they are $17 each, there is no reason to pay $14 - I did them myself in less than 5 minutes There is a 99-cent charge per solenoid (both exhaust and intake). The two of us have two. A 2009 Pontiac G6 4L with a manual transmission. The product was great, and the price was even better.

The first one was junk, but a new one has been sent under warranty. Due to travel, I forgot to send out the 2nd one before I left. As a result, I had to pay for it.
