OEM is the only way to go! When it comes to GM, stay away from aftermarket VVT Solenoids
5/5

A 2013 Equinox is the subject of this review. I strongly advise you to stay away from aftermarket parts! I originally paid around $30 for both the intake and exhaust Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid. When I started my car after the installation, it rumbled and stalled. So I tested the resistance and found it to be correct, so I ordered the ACDelco (GM) OEM parts (intake and exhaust) and it worked perfectly, and my error light went away. Both new parts had a resistance of 12 when tested. This is where aftermarket parts differ from OEM parts, which are more expensive. OEM is an effective method. br>br>The old Solenoids had a resistance of 12 (intake) and no resistance at all (exhaust). It was no longer alive. I replaced the intake because it was recommended, and the exhaust because it was obvious. br>br>My last piece of advice is to keep your oil clean. It's important to change it frequently because it can clog the VVT Solenoids.

works
5/5

A few months ago, we had a P0010 code and some stalling at low RPMs on a 2015 GMC Terrain with around 60K miles. I tested both solenoids, with the intake displaying some inconsistency on the first test but meeting specifications on subsequent tests. My suspicion is that the old solenoids' screens were simply dirty (I believe that the oil change intervals on these cars should be reduced as they age). Regardless, I replaced both of them with AC Delcos that I purchased on Amazon. The codes had been removed; They, along with the stalling, have vanished and have not been seen since.

Original Equipment Manufacturer quality

Wife's Equinox in 2014 with the 2. A P0013 code was thrown by the 4L Ecotec. I ended up having to replace both intakes. VVT solenoids in the exhaust system. Perfect fit; unlike cheaper aftermarket parts, there are no issues with screws not fitting or threading properly. Because I was already working on the exhaust VVT solenoid (which was right next to it), I decided to do the intake VVT solenoid as well.

Everything is in order
5/5

The 2012 Buick Regal was stalling and throwing the P0010 code. Since I had already opened the engine, cleared the code, and was on my way to driving without issues, I decided to replace both the Intake and Exhaust VVT solenoids. br>The exhaust solenoid is clogged more than the intake solenoid, for some reason. br>br>By the way, the INTAKE solenoid (PN: ) is described in the amazon listing. 12679099) has been identified as a "NOT FIT" for the 2012 Buick Regal. However, based on my online research, I'm fairly certain it's the correct P/N.

Solenoid for the ACDelco Intake Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
5/5

This was purchased for my Equinox 20 from 2013. I placed an order (Amazon had a lower price than all other auto parts stores) and received this part quickly; it was perfect! There were no oil leaks, and the check engine light was turned off. I've had it for 12K miles and it's been great; I'd recommend it and buy it again if the need arises.

They are appropriate for the situation
5/5

Both the intake and exhaust solenoids are delivered quickly and fit perfectly. It only took me about 20 minutes to swap them out, and I was back in the car in no time. When the engines are warm, we should be able to fix the check engine code and the stalling at low idles. Also, I'm hoping that the replacements will last longer than the originals, which have only covered about 70,000 miles. I figured it was worth the extra ten dollars to get the genuine ACDelco part.

This is a fantastic part that is simple to put together
5/5

When my Cobalt started running rough and throwing the P0010 and P0011 codes, I saved hundreds of dollars (based on a shop quote) by purchasing this and the matching exhaust solenoid. Both took about 30 minutes to install, including some engine cover cleaning. The car now runs like new and is incredibly smooth.

Intake VVT solenoid for Chevy Malibu 2012, OEM quality part
5/5

Six months ago, I replaced the VVT solenoid in the exhaust system. The intake side is currently in a bad state. The procedure is the same, but the part is different, and it will take 15 minutes to complete. So far, both parties have done a good job. I got 50K miles out of the first pair. I'm hoping they'll be as good as or better than the first. Aftermarket parts are not much more expensive. In this case, it's best to use OEM parts.
