Questions & Answers

Is it normal for these to be double bagged and covered in oil when they arrive for my Canyon?

My VVT was not covered in oil when I received it. I'm guessing the unit you received had been installed or tested before being delivered to you.

What is the delco quality level? Is it advantage, professional, or original equipment manufacturer?

It's the quality that makes a difference. I'm sorry, but I've already heard it all.

Is this the upgraded part (shown in the photo) with the retaining springs?

Yes, the spring coil is present.

If you're buying this, you most likely have a trailblazer or envoy, so keep that in mind
5/5

This indicates that you are experiencing difficulties. I do the same thing. You're having issues that you can't seem to solve. It's possible that this is the source of your issue. However, if you've replaced your fan clutch with anything other than an AC Delco brand, you'll have the same issue. I did say "fan clutch" on purpose. It shares a circuit with the variable valve timing and cam position sensors. If you buy a low-cost brand of fan clutch, it will short them out. It happened to me, too. Because of its power surges and inconsistent rpms, mine eventually destroyed the transmission. So. Replace it, and make sure your fan clutch is an AC Delco, as well as your VVT sensor. You'll regain control as well.

On a 2005 Trailblazer LS i6, this part is a perfect fit
5/5

The hardest part was getting the old solenoid out past the o ring with a large and long flat screwdriver. It was a bear, but I was persistent with rocking the screwdriver back and forth until it popped further out and then it was easy, the new one went in much easier. Prepare to remove the serpentine belt from the power steering pump, as well as the three bolts from the power steering pulley, to allow the power steering pump to slide to the side and the solenoid to freely slide out.

BEWARE OF THE BUYER! NO O- RING! I was fortunate in that I was aware of the o- Before installing this and ruining my engine, an o-ring was not included! How can you ship a new $60 actuator and not include an o-ring? a ring for a few pennies?

Original equipment manufacturer at Amazon prices
5/5

Instead of spending more money on an aftermarket part from AutoZone or Advance, I was able to get the correct factory part for a lower price. Win win. The scene is shot in the same way as the previous one. After I took it off, a piece of the screen broke off in my hand. This, combined with an oil change and a code reset, ensures that everything is in working order. It wasn't too difficult to change it. Finding the bolt holes to reattach the power steering pump after it had been moved to allow clearance to remove the old sensor was the most difficult part. This job can be done by anyone with a little mechanical aptitude and a little patience.

Genuine parts at a great price
5/5

On a 2005 Trailblazer, the check engine light illuminated, and the scanner displayed a code for variable valve timing solenoid. The engine was flushed, new oil was put in, and this solenoid was installed. The engine light was reset, and everything was fine. This genuine GM part comes at an unbeatable price. The auto parts stores charged nearly twice as much. Note: The flutes in these solenoids become clogged with oil (sludge), which is the primary cause of failure. Flushing the engine and changing the oil are two things that can help keep the new one running smoothly.

It is compatible with your vehicle
5/5

Chevy Trailblazer and GMC Envoy, both with a 2 liter engine. I love Amazon and this part fit my Trailblazer perfectly. I went to the actual website to double-check that it was the right part for my vehicle because Amazon claimed it wasn't. I drive a 4. 2 L 06 Chevy Trailblazer I thought I had a bad idle air control and a slew of other issues, but this fixed everything. I had previously replaced it with a less expensive aftermarket and was still experiencing the same issues, so I went to Delco.

Fits the Vortec 4200 engine from General Motors
5/5

On my 2006 Trailblazer 4, I changed this out. In less than 20 minutes, I was able to produce 2L of liquid. I spent the majority of my time looking for a bolt for the power steering pump that I kept dropping. Replacement part that is an exact match. If I notice an increase in mpg, I'll post an update. EDIT: br>br> This, as well as my fuel pump, camshaft position sensor, and crankshaft position sensor, were all replaced, and the truck now runs very smoothly.
