After using this, I had the urge to tap my crank. It appears to have been sitting outside for a few years now. It was a horrible experience. It took a long time to clean it up with wire brushing and WD40. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> This is a single-use device. Don't scrimp on the quality of your work. My crank had a piece of slag in between the threads that I couldn't see that chewed up the threads on the inside. After having to buy a tap to clean them up, it was well worth spending $40 on a good one.
A threaded rod, a nut, and two washers are all that is required. br>And the washers are uneven and too small because they were rough cut with a saw. It's critical that the washers be flat and smooth, which they aren't. When I contacted them, they simply told me to contact Amazon.
I needed to install my balancer in preparation for a rebuild. I inquired about renting a tool at a local hardware store. It's hard to believe that the only installation tool available was for older engines. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a tool that I would only use a few times. This tool completed the task and will continue to do so for a number of others. You won't have any problems if you lubricate the threads.
Bearing thrust washer should be included.
This is the one to use if you don't need an install tool on a regular basis. If you're going to be building engines on a regular basis, spend the extra money for one that has a bearing in the stack up.
The washers are a little rough, but they worked fine. I wouldn't choose this one if I needed to use it frequently (the washers are a little rough), but it's fine for occasional use. With a total of 1008 Chevy Tahoes, there are a total of 5. 3liter.
firmly grips the crankshaft with the pulley.
