For my 302 in a 66 Mustang, I had to modify. The moment I inserted the dipstick into my cooling system, two inches of the dousing broke off in my engine! I supposed this would be made out of flexible spring steel, but this dipstick is stiff and snaps under any pressure. Despite the fact that the tube came already bent, the dipstick is not able to withstand the bending energy? This is crazy.
I could not use it with my 302, because it was too large for the.
Replace your dipstick with this sleek replacement Stick to it. The hole for the tube connector on the block is too large to fit in the timing chain cover. * Sand down the outside of the tub to make it fit and fix the holes drilled out of it. It is far too short for the mounting hole in the Cyclinder Head to accept the Dip Stick mounting bracket / clip,.
After bending it to fit, it is half a quart out of the jug.
As with their other reviews that I ignored, this review does not belong on an 302 either. The build is very cheap and it folds instantly with just the slightest bit of pressure. It ended up being cut up and made into a new one that was more usable.
I think it's alright.
