It was a good match. With a little effort, it could be pushed out of the engine block without the use of any tools. They were able to 'Find' the corresponding holes in the cylinder head with ease because of the beveled edge. The head gasket as well as the head itself sat perfectly on the block.

I was looking for front cover dowel pins for an Olds engine and couldn't find any. I'm sure I could have gone to a machine shop, but considering the cost, it was just as easy to order these and try them out. Perfect fit, not quite as tall as I needed, but they were advertised as cylinder head dowel pins, so I'd think they'd work fine there.
