It's a shambles to be in that state.
NOOOO! It is not possible to change it while driving! Only change modes when parked, as stated in the description. If you switch modes on the fly, you risk damaging your vehicle's processor and sending it into limp mode.

As soon as I plugged it in, I put it on sport plus one, and it's like driving a completely different vehicle. The shifting delay is gone, the bucking between gears is gone, and the take off is incredible. br> If you have a newer GMC or Chevy Sierra or Silverado, this is a must-have. You will be the happiest man on the planet. There's a K in my name as well. The addition of a N filter system and a Borla exhaust completes the package. br>(Update) In April of 2018, I purchased this. I'm having problems with it right now, and I've been told that they can't help me because it's been more than 30 days. Keep an eye on things. It was fantastic for nine months, but now I am unable to use it at all. It only lasted a year, which is disappointing. Keep an eye on things. br>(New update)br>I called Pedal Commander and informed them of the problem I was experiencing. He claimed that they had heard about my problem. I did a free update, and it made things worse. I called them back, and they sent me a new one while also covering the cost of returning the old one. Customer service is outstanding. I will undoubtedly keep referring people.
It's like the difference between day and night! The takeoff is quick and smooth. The installation is extremely simple, and it can be removed at any time without causing any problems. br>br>UPDATE: br>br>I've had this product on my truck for 19 months and it doesn't work anymore. My car began to display TPS codes and entered limp mode. I remembered the Pedal Commander before going to the dealership for repairs. I took it out, and the truck is now in working order. There will be no codes left.
Super easy to install with clear instructions. It worked great at first and provided excellent throttle response for your truck. Even though it doesn't actually do so, it feels like more HP has been added. I had a great time for two weeks until my truck went into limp mode with a check engine light on and would only accelerate to a crawl. I was lucky to be stopped at a red light when this happened; I can't imagine what would have happened if it had gone into limp mode at higher speeds. If this actually worked, I'd give it a five-star rating, but it doesn't, so I'm giving it a one.
This has been added to my list of 4 things to do. I chose Sierra as my eighth child, and I'm very pleased with my decision. Before I installed the Pedal Commander, my truck was a complete jerk. The truck felt and sounded like an old, gutless 4 barrel carburetor bogging out when I stomped the pedal to the floor from a stop. It was a huge let down. br>The Pedal Commander makes such a difference in throttle response that it's almost like getting a new truck. I experimented with various settings until I found one that I liked; I currently have it set to Sport, 2. I tried the Sport settings, but I found them to be far too sensitive for everyday driving. According to some YouTube videos and online reviews, your vehicle will be thrown into "limp mode" at any time. Since installing this on my truck, I have not had that or any other problems. I'm not sure if they were fiddling with the settings while their vehicle was moving. I've only ever changed the settings when the truck is stopped, and it's never caused me any problems. br>In the end, this product performs admirably, and I have no regrets about purchasing it.
At first, it worked perfectly; it was simple to set up, and the app is extremely user-friendly. However, after only a few months of ownership, my truck began to go into "Reduced Engine Power" mode on its own. In addition, the engine light and the stability control light have both illuminated. And, as I had read in other reviews, the problems disappeared as soon as I unplugged the Pedal Commander. This happened twice in a few months before I decided to just remove the device; it's a shame I can't get a response from Pedal Commander and the Amazon return period is so short. Given that I would only use it for a few months, it was clearly not worth the money.
8L V8 engine. The difference between a 3 liter V8 and a 3 liter V8 is incredible. Rocky Ridge Altitude Edition (6" suspension lift, Flowmaster exhaust, CAI, and 35" tires) is the truck. Based on the horsepower and torque numbers for the motor, I've always thought the truck didn't perform as well as it should. When I floored it from a stop, it accelerated smoothly, which I assumed was all it could do given the vehicle's overall weight and large tires. My first ride with the Pedal Commander in Sport ended with a burnout! Those who believe that simply stepping on the gas harder will yield the same results are mistaken. The computer regulates the opening speed of the throttle body, so pressing the gas pedal harder has little effect on a stock vehicle. I'm still experimenting with the settings (there are 36 in total) to find the best daily driver option for me, but knowing what my truck can do now with this controller versus the mushy stock launches makes the price well worth it. I was skeptical at first, but the first launch revealed everything I needed to know - it does not void your warranty and can be disconnected in minutes if you need to take it in for service. It's fantastic!.
So I hooked it up and drove it around in my '09 Silverado for a while. It was astonishing to see the difference. I experimented with all four modes, varying the sensitivity in each, and there is a significant difference. I also got on the highway to see how quickly it could get up to speed in sport mode (with sensitivity set to 2). Before the merge lane even came to an end, I was up to speed. This product was well worth the money, and I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was well worth every penny I spent, and it was incredibly easy to install.
The speed with which things are moving is astounding. I'm not sure if it's helped with fuel consumption, but it's made driving my truck a lot more enjoyable.
