There is no way to override the governor in this case. There is a governor in place to keep people from driving too fast on tires designed for speeds below 100mph, which could cause catastrophic failure if driven above that speed. Basically, there is only one way to get rid of your governor buy a tune from a reputable tuning shop, but most shops will require you to provide proof that your tires have a higher speed rating. Although the gas pedal in my 2018 Colorado is more responsive because of this product, it is still a great product.
I have tested this on my 3 and it works wonderfully. The 2016 Z71 Colorado is powered by a 6L V6.

My 2018 Chevy Colorado LT 4x4 is fitted with this. A supercharger on it is an Edelbrock 1518, and it's been causing me problems starting the car. The boost was not built and the lazy was not left. With the commander set to Sport+ I was barely able to do a standing burn due to the torque nanny pulling horse power before it built enough boost. It is now almost too easy for me to light off the tires of my truck. A 2 wheel drive launch spins the tires from the very beginning of the first gear, until half way through the second gear. As a truck launched hard in 4x4 mode, it easily cut 0 in the first turn. My truck is one of the most comfortable I have ever had. And it only takes 5 seconds to go 1/4 mile.
You won't believe the smile on your face, but watch out for the warning on your app don't change the settings fast or you will mark it void if you have a car warranty, your car or truck has a permanent code. It is not possible to delete these codes and they can be read by the shop.
A 2017 Chevy Colorado was purchased with this. The shifting issues were not alleviated by the solution. TSBs were downloaded by the dealer to address the problem and now the transmission shifts and accelerates with no problems. I was able to put it in my wife's 2016 Chevy Impala and she loves how it accelerates so much. I am extremely satisfied with the overall outcome.
I found installing the Pedal Commander to be easy. modes to choose from. You will feel it in your step when you use it. When you barely press the gas pedal in the Sport mode, your vehicle gets up and goes. There is not much difference between the two modes in terms of fuel mileage. Those driving in Eco mode must press on the gas pedal harder in order to move forward. The acceleration is also slower.
There is a 100 percent difference. I used to have a hesitation when I pushed the gas pedal on and now there is no hesitation, it just goes. I think this thing is great. In the future, I will install one on my Jeep Wrangler. Under each setting, you will find more settings. The sport setting is just right for me, plus there are more settings underneath each setting.
Everyone can install this since it is very simple to do. After a few minutes, the dead pedal was fixed 100%, easily worth the money spent. This is an easy program to customize to your liking. This really gives the truck the impression that it has been tuned even if it has not been. This is the best mod I have done to date on my 2020 Zod Chevrolet.
When I had a little more power in my Chevy Colorado, I decided to "pull the trigger" after looking at some Youtube reviews. The moment I installed this, I saw what a huge difference it made! I would have to say the only negative thing I would say about the product is that there were no instructions but it was easy enough to figure out and it was quite confusing to understand the settings for each main feature. Despite the power difference, it sure does seem like it!.
Surely if you own a Ram Promaster City, you will love this. In the first instance With the unit on, there is no delay when accelerating as there was with the factory unit. At the touch of a button, the unit switches between modes. Around town on a regular basis It is a good idea to choose City Measures, Sports Mode is fun, and Sports Plus makes you feel like the engine changed more. Millage is not an issue, I just wanted the hesitation to go away, and this is the cure for it. It is well worth your money!.
