The software works well and is easy to use. My hands were burning from battling those fan clutch nuts for hours before I found a tool that would help. Now, I have to take longer to set up the tool than it takes to release the clutch nut (about thirty seconds to set up, maybe five seconds to release it). You will save a great deal of frustration in just this one purchase.
The blow mold case comes with the tool.
- In terms of the long bar, Amazon has it (Lisle # 43370), but it was a better deal to get the set since the bar costs It would cost you at least $100
The answer to that question is Yes, regardless of what Amazon fitment helper says! I tried it on my 2000 Durango R/T 5 and it worked perfectly. The nine-pound magnum!

Here are my 7 favorites. There was a problem with the 3 diesel getting up to temperature. The fan clutch had seized, so I poked around a bit. There is supposed to be a small fluctuation in the speed between 25% and 80% of the pump. It was spinning at 100% of the power of the water pump 100% of the time when it seized. It was time for a replacement. As far as I could tell, I tried every trick in the book to get the fan clutch to break free. Various tools were used, such as ratchet straps, duct tape, pipe wrenches, etc. In fact, I rented a tool out of the parts store. After all, I had to buy it, not because it worked, but because I had broken I had to unstick the clutch of that fan because it was stuck on. It looked interesting, so I looked into it further. I found a video of someone using this tool set. Because I'm a suborn old idiot, I won't put my truck into the shop just to have a fan clutch replaced. This is what I ordered. I also bought an air hammer from a local store. A little bit of BURP and the fan clutch is off. According to the video, the guy just turned it on and it spun A screw driver had to be jammed into the bolts, and I had to stand on it with one foot and BUUURRRRP. Even though the turn was tight, it still had a tight grip. I had a bite at the café and I was BUURRRRP. BUUUURRRP. Let's do this again. My hands had to turn 180 degrees before I was able to loosen the nut. The only tool that could fill in the gaps is this one. When yours is snug on a regular basis. If this thing works in three minutes instead of an hour, it will do the job perfectly. In case your piece of rubber is stuck on very firmly like mine was, you have no choice but to do it this way to avoid I got it for about 100 bucks and it was the best 100 Having it fixed at the shop saved me the embarrassment of having to tow the truck. A small town in Michigan. Those were the worst days of my life.
There is nothing thin or cheap about these wrenches, and they are definitely "NOT" My air hammer with a blunt punch on the end is what I have been using to remove and install the fans for quite a while. This tool doesn't leave a scared mark on the fan nut like the It is much easier to use this water pump bearing tool and more durable for the It is well designed and well made, so you should not be afraid of purchasing the Lisle 43300. There is only one downside I can see, and that is if you need more wrenches that are available but not included in this kit, you have no more space in the blow molded case to store them. If the manufacturer provided extra spaces in the case in which to store all the wrenches in addition to a note explaining why they are included, that would be nice. To ensure that all the wrenches you require are included before purchasing, make sure that you check before purchasing so that you do not get disappointed and unable to complete the task. Thanks for reading. I hope you found it useful.
There is no doubt that removing the fan clutch bolt is not an easy task. Using this spanner wrench tool to hold the water pump while using a 15" adjustable (crescent) wrench (fits a 36mm nut) to break the seal on my 1998 Dodge 5, I was able to break the seal quite easily and without much effort. With a 2 liter engine, the spanner wrench tool itself is much larger than I expected, measuring 17 and 1/2'' long, 3 and 3/4'' wide at the base, and 2 and 1/2'' wide at the There is a thick metal thickness to it that makes it durable. With this tool, it was possible to break the fan clutch nut seal very easily. Specifically, the area between the pins on the opposite sides of the nut is where it matters most. The one side measures three inches apart right in the middle, and the other side measures two and a half inches apart. Three inches were taken up by two liters. If you wish to use this tool, check it out by measuring the distance between two holes on a water pump. The hassle of not buying what you do not need is eliminated.
High quality products at a reasonable price. The snap on or Matco brands are 4 times more expensive but do not deliver a higher level of My heavy use of this product with a high performance snap on air hammer has always resulted in excellent quality and precision every time. There is never any wear, chips, or breaks on it.
There used to be a reputation for quality in Lisle. The fan clutch tool I own is deeply disappointing to me, especially since I already own several of there products. The tool looks like it was made in China, it has a rough cut chunk of steel, and the 3-pin set up on one side is no longer there. I originally ordered it from Amazon as a "used" item, without packaging. I initially assumed they must have sent me the wrong item, but I realized they were correct. This part did not contain a part number or even Lisle's name. Returned the first one and ordered a new, more expensive product from a more reputable vendor to be sure that they were a genuine Lisle product, only to be disappointed once more.
A somewhat specialized tool I've bought that I enjoy the most. It is easy to remove and install a fan clutch this way. This method doesn't require any special pinning tools, or to whack a wrench with a dead blow It is just a matter of rubbing this for 2 or 3 seconds, and it will just come The belt has to be under tension, and with it still installed you will be amazed at how you can use it so easily.
A tool such as this is worth its weight in gold to get the fan clutch off of a 2001 Silverado water pump replacement. I mean it. The JW Winco A53710 Black Finish Special Steel Single Open Ended Milled Jaw Wrench, 36mm Opening, 300mm Length x 13mm Thick is also available. struggled with the fan clutch for hours, became fed up, and ordered these two tools for the job. My door was open as soon as the tools got there so I opened the hood, aligned the tools, and it came off within a few.
Build quality is similar to the MAC except for the glossy finish (Glossy Black Paint)
After four uses, paint has come off on the contact point where the Fan Clutch nut is, which is to be expected, but there are no visible The MAC version seems to mark the fan clutch nut more than the MAC version, but not in the same way as damage that could be caused if you only employed Recommended if you need a fan clutch kit. Pneumatic kits are definitely the best!.
