I have tested the self-sealing can tap, and I was able to get the r134a refrigerant to flow from it. It's not as simple as it seems. You have to screw the valve hard to the bottom in order for the can tap to close. In this case, you can try screwing the knob to the near bottom of the r134a self sealing can so that the refrigerant can flow out. In case the problem is not resolved, you can apply for a full refund and buy our another newly metal handle r134a self sealing can tap for $2.99 (by searching for ). You can find it on Amazon by searching B08ZSND9LC. The problem has been discussed with our engineers, and we have improved the product. My sincere thanks go out to you *br>Best regards Boltigen
This is designed to work with R410 or R22 gauges on the low pressure side. I have only used this tool on my mini split system once, and I was very pleased with it. There are videos on YouTube that you can watch!
134a taps will only work on the newer style of cans that have top valves. It won't work if you use this with the older style, where the valve has to puncture the seal to function. Many videos showing how to use it can be found on YouTube. As for the one I purchased, it works flawlessly. In contrast to a water valve, a tap operates in the opposite direction. The screw is open (clockwise) when it is screwed down. In a counterclockwise direction It is closed when viewed clockwise.

If the can is tightened down enough for the rod to push the valve in the can when turned in, the seals will rip. According to this, this is one of those toilet paper tools that are meant for one use only.
At the bottom of the can tap, where it seals to the can, there was no O ring seal. The seller includes three O rings in a little baggie attached to the tap, which is great. When I realized I needed one, I was able to fix the refrigerant leak and it started working well again.
This is the largest piece of junk I have purchased in the past few years. An adapter attached to a Schrader valve failed to attach. I suggest you DO NOT purchase this product! There needs to be an option for giving a rating of zero stars.
The price is good, and the quality is good.
Although it works, it destroys a portion of the can that was designed for self-sealing.
This is garbage. My hose broke while I was attaching it. There was something in the garbage that I threw out.
It is also easy.
