That was completely incorrect; you said yes to adding Freon, but then said to add sealer first?
If the air is warm, you'll need at least one, if not two, cans. If the air is still cool, you'll probably need one full can.
No, your recovery machine should be capable of dealing with a wide range of situations.
When it came to fixing my wife's 2003 Odyssey van in May, my neighbor was the mechanic and I was his tool pusher. He was skeptical at first because he had never heard of this product, but after reading the ingredients and seeing that it helps recondition seals as well as flowing to and sealing the leak (if it isn't too large), we decided to give it a shot. We've only had it for about 6 weeks, but it's held up so far, and we live in New Orleans, where even the spring is hot. However, when we had a leak in our home system last year, our home A/C mechanic recommended a similar product, which I can vouch for. It ran all summer and this summer without losing efficiency after the sealant was injected and the freon was recharged. I use an IR thermometer to check it on a regular basis, and the air registers have remained at the same temperature since I used the sealing compound. So, given the time, effort, and materials required to remove the vehicle's dash (as my mechanic neighbor and I did on my '99 Camry), it's worth the small investment to give it a shot!

I drove my car for four years without air conditioning after a mechanic told me it would cost $800 to repair. I sweated and baked every summer. However, after reading some of the reviews on this site, I decided to give Super Seal a shot. My 2001 Subaru Forester was leaking everywhere and wouldn't charge for more than an hour. As a result, I'm pleasantly surprised to discover that this air conditioner sealer actually works. Now that it's been a week, the cabin is rapidly cooling. If you think you've got an O-, don't hesitate to contact us. If a ring leak is causing your A/C problems, you owe it to yourself to try this product before baking in your car or spending money to fix it. UPDATE: It's still working after more than a month.
A black and red 89 Iroc z is being restored by my son and me. Cool- In the summer sun, however, it's murder. The seller claimed that the air conditioner worked, but there was a leak, and he wasn't lying. The air conditioner worked perfectly once it was fully charged. However, once the charge had been raised to the mid-point, three 12-inch levels The system was down to near zero in one or two days after replacing the R134a with oz cans. And here in Maryland, it's 90 degrees with a 70 percent chance of rain. humidity We're also saving our money for good headers rather than air conditioning (for the time being). And, in this weather, with its high humidity and frequent thunderstorms, opening the T-shirt is a must. It's not good enough to be wearing tops. What should I do, what should I do, what should I do, what should I do, what should I We decided to try this ID brand sealant after reading the reviews. Because of our major leak, I wasn't optimistic. But we hoped to get by until the weather turned cooler in the fall, and then make major repairs in the spring. br>br>Three weeks later, the air conditioner is still blowing cold air, and the charge level appears to be perfect. After that, I added three more 12-inch leak stops. R- cans, 8 oz. 134a. IMPORTANT NOTE: It won't work with most leak-proof can taps because they have a slash tip that punctures the top of an R134a can. Cans must be put down. So get this one because it has the proper can tap, which uses a pin to push a valve in the can down. Eventually, I'll need to purchase a compressor kit that includes the dryer and piping, as well as a vacuum pump. But, for the time being, this appears to have saved our keysters, allowing us to devote more time to engine modifications.
I'm an HVAC technician, so I wasn't sure how well this product would work. I decided to give it a try after reading the reviews, and I'm glad I did. The can specifies that it should be used for leaks that last at least two weeks. My air conditioner would only last a day before it died. It was still successful in resolving the problem! The system continues to be charged after nearly a month. What a fantastic item!.
When I tried to use the Stop Leak, I followed the directions to the letter. As a result, the can seal prematurely ruptured, allowing the contents to escape before I could connect the recharge hose to the can. "Screw on the blue adapter to the top of the can, then screw on the recharge hose to the adapter," the instructions say. " The can seal ruptured the moment I screwed on the blue adapter. " So I'm not sure if the "A/C Pro Super Seal" works because of a faulty delivery system or because of poor instructions. I've been recharging car A/C systems for years as both a part-time mechanic and a full-time mechanical engineer.
There will never be one of those stores I can afford that can fix my vehicle still that needs it, after going to work on it for over 2000 dollars. As they were asking more money, I saw this bought, and it works wonderfully, but now they are going to try to remove.
This product has been used three times by me. The first time I used it, it worked. Compressor killers were the second and third. The compressor died about three weeks after I installed it in my Tahoe. I replaced the compressor and discovered that all of the pistons were stuck when I opened up the old one. I discovered that there was no rear ac after replacing the compressor and testing it. I disassembled the rear AC expansion valve and discovered the filter completely caked with what is unmistakably this product; finally, I put this product in a small refrigerator compressor, and it died within 10 seconds. I haven't dismantled it yet to figure out how it killed that one, but I'm out another $145.
The money was well spent. This is fantastic. I was able to save a substantial sum of money as a result of your efforts. Simple to work with. In June, I recharged the air conditioning in my 13-year-old truck with A/C Pro Super Seal. A month before, I tried another product, but the Freon leaked after only one day. After reading another user's review, I decided to try the A/C Pro Super Seal as a last-ditch effort. A/C Pro Super Seal turns out to be just as good as the other review claimed. My air conditioner has been running flawlessly for over two months, even in temperatures as high as 90 degrees. The money was well spent.
Because you have to remove the entire dash to replace this $40, mechanic quoted me $950 to replace the evaporator, where he said the leak was fairly extensive. I figured, what did I have to lose by taking the 00 part? I thought I had a slim chance of successfully sealing a large leak if I followed the instructions. It's been three weeks, and this stuff has finally stopped leaking! I couldn't be happier with my $27 purchase; just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter and have refrigerant on hand to top off the system after the leak seal is installed. I can't promise this will work for everyone, but it did for me on a leak that caused my a/c to lose all of its charge in less than a day.
