Based on this configuration, I'm pretty sure it's a Toyota. I encourage you to read the specifications
You're right, that's what it should do. Getting to the wiring for the tail lights is difficult since you have to hold over all the plastic.

If you do not have a lift, this project is not a DIY project. In the past, I have installed light kits for my Honda Element without issue. In contrast, the RAV4 has an all-wheel drive system. The rear of the car needs to be removed and then a power line should be run to the front by removing many plastic panels. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to do this correctly if you do not have access to a lift. Installing the lights is simple just hire someone to do it for you. the panels off and reassembling them was a cumbersome process and took me about two hours. Now, since I don't have a lift, I must take my car to a shop with a lift and pay them to run the power line. There's a lot on my mind right now.
This cable has the right plugs and wire lengths for most straightforward installation. The two other apps I tried before finding this one didn't work. The YouTube video on how to install it can be found here. You won't have to worry about running wires up to the front if you have a hybrid car, since the battery is in the back next to the spare tire. Plugging in the wires is a bit difficult because you have to reach behind the plastic partitions. You just snap everything in after you find the connector, and it's easy to do. Though it might have felt strange removing the interior panels of an almost-new vehicle, all worked well when it was all put back together again. With the help of a weed puller, I was able to I was very pleased with the results. Purchase of a special tool is not necessary.
If you're doing it for the first time, take your time, get a flash light, and go slowly. It took me 90 minutes to do the 1st Rav4 out of 2 I own. 30 minutes was all it took for the second one. With this kit, it is just as easy as pie. Connectors and wiring do not need to be ordered. The kit has everything you need. It comes with a self-taping grounding screw as well. I was already planning on ordering wiring and other parts, so this saved me a few dollars. You can take them back to the shop for a refund now. It is certainly a kit that I would recommend.
I tried it on other cars and it did not work well at all. It turns out the plugs are wired incorrectly after I had installed them. According to a standard 4-part scale In a four-prong flat connector, Pin 1 (white wire) is common, Pin 2, (brown wire) is the running light, Pin 3 (yellow wire) is the left turn signal and brake, and Pin 4 (green wire) is the right turn signal and On this particular one, there are brown wires for the brake lights, green and yellow for the turn signals on both sides, and brown wires for This is the proper way to plug it into the vehicle's wiring harness, because it works only In theory, as long as you get the correct colors connected (yellow on the driver side and green on the passenger side), it should work fine. You cannot plug the connectors in incorrectly because if they don't fit, they simply won't work.
Pay someone to set up the connection for you if you want a simple method to connect lights to your trailer. It was not an easy install, but it works perfectly for the price. I have a 2016 RAV4 and I had to take off several plastic panels inside the trunk to connect. *Bridge*
The real challenge is connecting the power line This kit will work for a hybrid car on the spot (maybe within 20 minutes since the power supply is already in the trunk). In this case, and if you are unable to lift the car, you will have a lot of trouble. I am not a car guy, but I am pretty handy and it only took me about three hours to do it. Once again, it is good for a good price, but you have to know what you are getting.
This trailer hitch wiring harness for my 2013 Toyota Rav4 was installed by myself over the weekend in roughly one hour. It was difficult to figure out the instructions specifically, especially since the power lines were not at all secure and had to be replaced with solid wire nuts). My two biggest complaints about the instructions are as follows They erred in the following ways 1) They did not do A high-resolution image shows the brake/turn signal wiring clips located in the lower-right corner of the switchgear Panels located in the upper-left corner of the rear bumper instead of the rear trim panels There are side curtain air bags on the side of the car). Confusion ensued and wasted time wastage was incurred to confirm that the wiring kit we had purchased was the correct one. 3) The diagram that explains how the 12-channel sound works An outline of the car with a line running through it is the wiring gauge to the battery for the additional circuit power. There are no reference points or steps. Follow these steps to get started. In order to simplify the wiring project, I opted for the under car wiring option (rather than removing most of the trim from one side of the vehicle), and it would have been nice to have a guide showing where to zip up the wiring on the underside of the vehicle. This wiring harness installation was as straightforward as any of the other ones (2-I found the wiring clips and ran the additional power wire to the engine compartment. 2) that I have completed on other makes/models previously.
Play as soon as you plug it in. The item was exactly what was With the help of online YouTube videos, it was installed. It took three to four hours There were about 10 hours in It might be possible to do it in two hours if I had to do it again Installation took a few hours. I had tools to remove panels, a jack, as well as jack stands to make the process.
The application has been installed Once I got to the areas to plug it in, it went smoothly. It took around 2 hours start to finish due to a lot of disassembly, which could have been avoided if I had consulted the video on Etrailers' website prior to starting the process. It would have been impossible to do this job without a set of car interior removal tools. I bought a cheap plastic set at Harbor Freight without those I would have faced even more difficulty. In a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate this on a scale of 1 to 10 You should have a mechanical ability of about 5 out of 10.
