Questions & Answers

Is there a use for this part? Is that alright?

It is this part that holds your blower resistor. The harness on my car melted together, so I had to replace it. It is really easy to connect this kit to the old one.

The installation of this is compatible with a 2005 Dodge Durango AL The V8 has a 7 liter displacement? There's a problem with the factory harness. I need to replace it. ?

Although I cannot guarantee it, I believe it will be able to. I have been told that the harness is the same. This is an easy to install program. I have never had a problem with it. The Dakota 3 I own is a 2004.

The Chrysler convertible v6 is a 2004 model, will this work in it?

This is what I used in my 2002 Dodge Dakota. I was able to connect it very easily. Doing it myself saved me a lot of money. I think it will work on your 2004 Chrysler

Do you think it will work in a 2002 Town & Country ?

Melissa, I am not certain if it will work for your 2002 Town and Country, but I have used the same part for a 2004 Dodge Dakota and a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I am sure it I'll give you the rest of the story now. Those wires and connectors are melted due to the fact that the blower motor draws too much current. As a result, the resister and wiring are overloaded and heaters overheat. To solve the problem in the long run, there is no alternative but to replace the blower motor as well as the resister and connection wiring which is While all of this is fairly straight forward, it is always a good idea to check the wires first, especially if you are using the new wiring that comes with the resister, make sure they are connected in the proper order based on I wish you the best of

I tried it out and it worked great! I'm very happy with the way this wire harness worked out
5/5

About 2 weeks ago, I noticed the blower fan in my 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport truck started humming. As it turned out, it was during a long and humid 90 degree day. After further inspection, it appeared as though two of the wire harness connector poles had somehow overheated and burned. As a result, the blower resistor and wire harness connector were ruined. Auto Zone had the resistor for about $11 that I needed for the blower fan. There are various sources that can supply the factory wire harness connector, but it appears that a Dodge dealership is the only one who can provide it. There would be a $90 charge for that. It costs $78 at Auto Zone to purchase the same harness kit that we offer here. Therefore, I found the price to be much lower on a private seller's site when I searched on Amazon for the harness kit. Despite the fact that I thought the harness would come in 5 days, it came 3 days after the purchase I was pleasantly surprised with the delivery time, and the installation was relatively straightforward, even if you don't know much about electricity. There is no instruction manual included with this harness, as we've said numerous times already. In contrast, if you disconnect the harness from the resistor on the truck, the task is a relatively straightforward one once the harness is connected. Remove the two 5/16 inch screws under the passenger-side dashboard that hold the resistor up into the vent ductwork. To do this, you will need to remove the two screws. The red clip should slide back onto the red clip once the resistor is removed. In order to connect the harness to the resistor, you must press and hold the black button down for a few seconds. I told you that you would see what I mean as soon as you pull the resistor from the duct. This is a very easy task. As for how to assemble the harness you just purchased, follow these steps Inspect the end of the plug that has the blue connection block and make sure the blue block is all the way inside the black It should be about a quarter inch or so past the top of the enclosure and not be able to be pushed any further when it is in the right place. On the other end of the plug, there are five small holes in a white rubbery In the harness, I simply used five of the large diameter wires and didn't pay any attention to the smaller diameter wires. Be sure to follow the same basic positioning of the metal connectors in the plug before installing the wires into the plug. (Check the connectors on the wires carefully before installation. Put each of the five large wires (metal connector ends first) into the rubber hole until you hear a click or clicks. Now that you have completed your wiring harness, your system is ready to be installed. Leaving about 1/4 inch of the old connector to use as a reference for wire color, I cut the old harness wires. As a result, 1/4 inch of the jacket was stripped off each cut wire, and I used bullet connectors (purchased at Lowe's) on all of the wiring to make future harness modifications simpler. the new harness wires are all the same color, you need to connect them correctly to the original ones, which have different colors (your old plug should help you find the correct connection). In order to hold all the wires together uniformly, I wrapped all the loose ones with electrical tape. Once the new harness plug is connected to the resistor, you can step back and tighten the Do not forget to slide and reload Make sure the red clip is locked. Make sure that your blower fan is working properly by starting the engine and testing it. this is the case, turn off the engine and replace the resistor into the ductwork. This is done! Thanks! I hope you find this useful. There may seem to be a lot here. Nevertheless, once you pull the resistor out of the duct work, you will see and understand how easy it I was able to save a lot of money by purchasing this wire harness. Is there anything more I can tell you? Wire harness kit is a great product. I highly recommend it.

Choosing the right price was a good decision
4/5

The blower connector on my 2002 Dakota had to be replaced by this component. I liked the price of the product and the quality of it. There are no instructions on how to assemble the connector, therefore my complaint is that it wasn't clear how to do it. As seen in the picture, the product arrives in the same condition as shown. In order to use the plastic connector, you will need to assemble the wires. Eventually, I figured out that you could snake wires through the back of the connector housing and attach them to the pins by removing the blue colored piece inside the black plastic connector housing. After snapping the blue colored piece back into place, it seemed to hold everything Although I was frustrated at first, I soon figured out how it worked.

The rear blower resistor on the 2007 Chrysler Town and Country is compatible with this product
5/5

This product was a safe bet for me and it was a big hit. She discovered that the rear blower resistor on her 2007 Chrysler Town and Country had melted fused to the wiring I was told that the dealer wanted to sell me the entire harness kit, which was very expensive. To repair it I purchased a harness repair kit from the dealer and a resistor for under $20. In less than an hour, a mechanic friend of mine made the repairs to the harness and installed the new resistor. Luckily, Cllaandfasterners Inc came to the rescue!.

The 01 Dakota blower resistor harness hooks up to the blower motor
5/5

A pigtail such as this was one of the best parts. It sells for 25% off the retail price of an auto parts store. I didn't receive any instructions on how to attach the wires to the plug, but after some investigation, I figured out that all you have to do is to insert the wire connector end first into the plug and slide it forward until it secures, then press on the connector end. This is how you do it. You then just attach the stripped end using butt connectors to the wires in your car, and you're It's a good product at a great price, so it's a great buy!.

It took me a while to find a job
4/5

For 2 years, I used it, but the harness completely It won't take long for a large resistor to get hot and its associated wires to get hot. If so, it should be made out of a good material It's plastic that won't melt, and the resistor and its metal connectors will be fine. There was only a melt in the harness. Plastic maybe less tolerant of heat as it ages, so when it melts it's probably because of the heat. The factor harness experienced the same problem, but it lasted 11 years instead of 7. Apparently, what you pay for is what you get.

This is an exact match
5/5

The product was easy to use, and fixed the problem all that was required was to push the end of the wire with the pin at the end through the white seal on the back of the plug and it would click into place. To connect this to the old wires, I would buy some heat shrink wire connectors from Advanced Auto. Just cut the old plug wires one at a time so that you can get the correct color wire connected to the right pin. I also used the larger green wires for the connection.

! I needed a new harness as my old one melted! You might find that one or two wires in your harness have melted when you changed your resistor
5/5

There's a need to replace this and now's the time to do it on a budget. Rather than using the lighter wire it came with, I used the heavier wire. It will help you match up the wires if you keep the old harness.

Modified to fit Dodge Dakota 2004, which I own
4/5

We can't figure out how to install the wires and connect to the resistor from the instructions. Also, the connector needed to be modified so that the thicker wires could fit, or else I would have given it a 5 star rating. After clipping the old, burnt-out connector from my truck, I noticed it had been missing the end piece and the small, white rubber piece (opposed to the blue plastic piece). As you can see, I had to remove them with needle nose pliers as you can see in the top picture. With the end piece and white rubber removed, I was able to snap the wires into place and splice them into the system without any problems.
