When the arrow is pointing in both directions, it indicates that the valve will function regardless of how the substance flows.
I was able to use this OEM replacement vacuum line line on my 1969 Shelby with no problems. Although I am unable to verify it at this time, I believe it to be A heater hose of 5/8" diameter is required. While the valve body of the original 1969 model was brass, the replacement is plastic, otherwise it is identical to the original. Despite its leak-proof functionality, it still performs as expected.

According to the image and description, I got what I ordered. It should be noted that the black part of the frame is made from plastic, which is less than ideal given that it is so important. It is likely that your car would die if this broke and the coolant would leak out. I am actually using this in my '92 740 Volvo because it is superior to all of the other options available. It was one of these already and had an embarrassing number of years and miles on it, from what I learnt on brickboard forums. In fact, the one I pulled out of my car was one of these already. One word of warning, the little vacuum spigot coming out of the cylindrical part is shorter than it looks, or at least shorter than I expected it to be. There may be problems related to this cross reference on many Fords from the 1970s. Data bases show a 3/4" valve, but the cores and hoses of the heaters are The valve closes completely when vacuum is applied, but for a short time so that just a bit of coolant is circulated.
Supposedly, the valve will fit my 76 Lincoln, but so far I have been unable to track it down. It would be helpful if there was a diagram of where the cables go in the car.
It replaces the Winnebago part number 103930-62. I found it at a better price and for less than . 000.
Product of high quality, great value, and quick.
Deal of the day.
My Ford Super Duty 2000 includes the valve, and it works well. Throughout the trip, the AC was allowed to circulate hot coolant, which caused the hot air to be cooled.
