The extra parts are for the various conversion kits used to convert a R12 A/C system to a R134a system. The caps are compatible with both old R12 and new R134a systems.
Schrader valves, similar to those found in tire stems, are installed inside your high and low charging ports. They'll be removed with the same tool. My R134 charge ports were compatible with the red and blue caps.
The black caps are the only ones with threads that can be screwed on. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has wondered about this.

It arrived quickly, and all of the caps and valve stems were in good working order. Check the product description to ensure you've chosen the correct vehicle.
My mechanic informed me that I had blown a seal. I told him to fix the d*mn thing and stay out of my private life. br>br>Wait, that was a joke. The hat is comfortable to wear. It's far preferable to allowing road grit to enter the valve.
I only needed one of the valves, which were nearly as expensive as the entire set when bought in pairs. In a 1990 GMC G20 van, I used the large valve.
For 82 dollars, you can purchase a kit. For valves, use 92 trans am.
Parts in a good variety.
It completed the task to my satisfaction. The product is of excellent quality.
