Questions & Answers

Is this a high or low fitting?

This kit came with the HIGH SIDE ball valve and cap, as well as the LOW SIDE schrader valve and cap, which I purchased for a 1994 Chevrolet K2500. For my application, this kit was ideal.

Is it possible to replace the high side fitting on a 2003 GMC Yukon XL with front and rear a/c?

The high pressure side fitting is usually included in kits; however, this is dependent on the Make/Model. You want a certain type of kit. One thing to keep in mind for those who are the ''Do-It-Yourself'' types: Yourself- Unless, of course, you have the necessary tools. You have a good understanding of air conditioning systems, and you only use the low-cost models. Charge/recharge your vehicle's A/C with refrigerant by using the pressure side. Connecting to the High-Speed Internet The dangers of working under pressure are well-known. As a result, all A/C Kits sold in auto parts stores only have the ''Low-Temperature'' setting. So you've figured out which one it is. If yours doesn't, the best bet is to look for a video for your specific vehicle type on YouTube. In any case, the Kit Nozzle is only compatible with the Low-Pressure System. Anyway, I'm on your side. br>Br>Note 1: If the Low-Cost option is selected, The cause of your A/C system leaking Pure-Air is discovered to be a Side-Valve. I bought a ''4-pack'' of On/Freon. Valve- Kit for Stems Valve Stem Tool can be purchased for around $10. $12. I got rid of the one that was leaking. I just took one out of the kit and used it. The A/C valve stems are similar to the ones found on car tires. It should work as well as the OEM part you just removed if it can screw into the valve. br>Note 2: If you are looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words Okay, you've got your refrigerant can plugged into the A/C service port, and there's a ''2-'' This is the 8''-wire connector that is usually found on the receiver/dryer. Made of aluminum, this 10'' long round part is 10'' in diameter. Unplug this cable. Use a ''Paper Clip'' to fit into it and engage the Compressor Clutch. Start the vehicle with the A/C set to High/Max in your vehicle. The system is now being re-charged. Despite the fact that I have a thermometer, I have a good idea of how cold I should set the A/C. (If you're having trouble with your Re- Charge- The gauge is included in the kit; simply follow the instructions. )br>**Note 3:** I've got a couple of ''Reusable'' Fill-in-the-Blanks. Nozzle- Kits. A Honda Accord was refueled by me. I attempted to add refrigerant to a 2003 Chevy Blazer three days later, but it was unsuccessful. These ''Reusable Kits'' can be problematic at times. I went to the Auto Parts Store I frequent after 10 minutes of going over everything and still having no luck. A new refill kit has been purchased. br>It's as easy as that. Sorry for the excessive detail, but sellers do not provide details unless I write a review.

Is this compatible with a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix that has been converted to run on r134a?

It should, but first check to see if your current high-side valve is similar to this one.

Is this part compatible with a 1997 Saturn Sl2?

It was used on a Saturn in 1999. Although not all of the parts will fit, the caps will.

I worked on a Chevy K1500 from 1995
5/5

This kit fixed a leaky high-pressure side service port valve (large, aluminum male coupler in photo). (found on the majority of GM high-pressure sides). My low-side service port leak was also stopped by the Schrader valves (3 smaller contraptions). Without the "extra" steps required on the high side, the low side service port Schrader valve can be removed and replaced with a R134A 'zero pressure loss' Schrader valve remover/installer. Unfortunately, if your high side port is leaking, you must recover all of the R134A refrigerant before attempting to replace the high side, as the large aluminum service port is not replaceable. To remove the large service port, you will need a high side service port, octagon socket (some Fords have a similar service port coupler on the low side and a special socket for it as well). Sure, there are 'other' DIY options that could work, but I wouldn't install a new one that way. No, you can't use a SAE or Metric socket. So now that you've removed the high side service port coupling, lubricated the seal with AC system oil recommended by the manufacturer, and installed the new coupler, the system has been exposed to the elements (air and humidity are bad!). ) The receiver/dryer must be replaced (it contains non-recyclable materials). Replaceable desiccant that removes any remaining moisture AFTER proper evacuation) and acts as a holding area for your manufacturer's specified AC system oil (yes, you'll need manufacturer's specified AC system oil as well). ) The amount and type of receiver/dryer replacement you need is determined by the manufacturer's specifications. The system must then be evacuated to remove air and moisture (using an HVAC vacuum pump or an R134A compatible recovery, evacuation, and recharging system). Replace the plastic service port covers while you're at it! They keep debris out of the ports while also helping to seal those annoying Schrader valves.
Note: A new cap will not repair a leaking Schrader valve. You can't use an old cap to seal a new Schrader valve or service coupler! They collaborate on a project together.

Another low-cost silicone ball valve to add to your collection
3/5

It's simply another silicone ball valve that is prone to failure. I was under the impression that this was a standard Schrader valve, but their photos are misleading. It's a complete "service" set that includes two extra Schrader valves on the low side. You can see how bad they are by looking at my photos; the ball isn't even put in straight. br>They do work, but be cautious about how tight you tighten the gauge adapter on the fitting. If you fully open the valve, these will definitely shred.

It tastes great to be exposed to cool light
5/5

It's exactly like the picture, and I have no idea if it works or not, because I always order things and put them up somewhere, and then my wife moves them to Mars, so good luck to anyone who finds it.

It was good, but not exactly what I had hoped for
3/5

This is the correct valve for my truck, but I was expecting the high side valve to be the better type without the rubber ball inside, as the rubber piece inside gets damaged when the test gauge is screwed in and doesn't seal back up properly after a couple of times. br>br>Updated on October 11th, 2019: Because the rubber piece inside doesn't seal back properly, the high side has started to leak again, and service gauges were only attached twice to check pressures.

I live in Arizona, and as you may be aware, we rely heavily on our air conditioners to keep us cool
5/5

My air quality has improved significantly in the last three weeks. I bought the cap. For my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 6, I needed a Valve Air Conditioning System Seal Kit. 0 liter. After about a week and a half of topping off my ac with Freon, I noticed a leak coming from the high side valve, and my ac was slowly losing Freon to the point where my ac compressor/clutch was not engaging. When I put dye in the air conditioner, I noticed that it was leaking from the low-side valve. I took these parts to my AC technician, and he was able to resolve my issue. I live in Arizona, and as you may be aware, we rely heavily on our air conditioners to keep us cool. My air is still blowing at 58 degrees after three weeks. This part has exceeded my expectations, and Amazon's price and delivery time were excellent as usual.

R12 isn't a good fit
3/5

R12 is used in my 93 Cheyenne pickup. It was impossible to wear this cap because it was too big. Maybe it'll fit an r134, but it's not going to fit my r12. I bought it solely for the caps, and was disappointed when it stated clearly that it was for r12 only. I don't want to be penalized by sending it back. This is the first time I've ever failed at a game like this. As a result, there are no stars because the product did not fit as expected.

Valves that aren't as good as the others
3/5

These valves are leaking. I received four valves, three of which are not properly sealed. I lost the ac charge three times and will not use these made in China knockoffs again. I bought the Dorman brand with a real Schrader valve rather than a plastic ball valve. Beware of Dad n Lad valves.

For such a simple fix, the price is reasonable
5/5

For what you get, it's a great price. Why should you pay $120 to an air conditioning shop or a mechanic? for a ten-minute job that only necessitates the use of an adjustable wrench and a can of freon (And this isn't a one-beer job!).
