Because this part replaces the AC compressor, and the compressor design in 1988 was the same as on my 1995 GMC, I'm confident that it will fit and function properly.
Dorman does not make a Corvette version.
I worked on my 89 Chevy Suburban (Surberbion) for a few hours.

Excellent value for moneybr>br>94 K1500 4x4 5. 7L. Original size belt. A good option for replacing a noisy, dragging Harrison A/C compressor that has stopped working. Remove all wires and refrigerant lines with caution if there is refrigerant pressure in the system, which you should fully recover before removing the line. Spray WD on the long bolts at all junction points to remove the compressor with 3 bolts. To aid in the loosening of corrosion, turn on the compressor. 3 nuts on the back of the chair must be removed; To remove the bolts, use Vise Grips to grip them tightly and wiggle and nudge them back and forth. Start with the top two and wiggle the compressor to loosen the bottom two. Note: When they're all the way in, they can't spin, so take note of the "flat" to get past the compressor pulley. Steel collars should be kept within the mounting bracket and are required for proper alignment. Remove the top portion of the fan shroud, taking care not to lose the radiator rubber insulators on each side, and place a piece or two of cardboard in front of the entire radiator, being careful not to damage it as you remove the bolts. Mounting hardware is not included in this kit because it is not required. Re- Mounting is accomplished with two bolts. The belt should be reinstalled or replaced first, followed by the fan shroud. Keep the wires and hoses away from the exhaust manifold by tying them up. Check the alignment of the belt. br>br> Plastic pulley, very light and silent. A big thumbs up!.
If you're trying to bypass the smog pump on a 1993 351W engine, this won't work.
Suburban with seven 350ci engines. For my 1989 Suburban with a TBI 5, this was a near-perfect fit. 7l 350. There was some minor realignment of the pulleys required, but it bolted up perfectly and is not wearing out my new belt or causing any slip or noises. If you want to avoid the parasitic loss of having to turn a non-profit organization into a for-profit organization, this is a must-have. If you don't use air conditioning, make sure your compressor is working and that your engine bay is clean.
Installing it was a breeze.
7L V8. It's incredibly simple to set up. Amazon has a lightning-quick next-day delivery service. It was a perfect fit for my half-ton Chevy pickup from 1994, which had a 5. 7L V- 8 is an excellent score. The installation went much more smoothly than the removal of the old A/C compressor, which was the most difficult part; in total, it took about 32 hours from the time I placed the order to have it installed.
I've had it on for about a month because I didn't feel like fixing my A/C because I don't drive my truck very often and having the windows down works fine for me. Good product, could be better, but it works!.
This is what I used to replace a blown-out compressor until I could afford a new one. It's a little louder than I expected, but not nearly as loud as the old compressor. 4. s10, 1994 3 vortec.
I couldn't afford to buy a new air conditioner, so I took it out and replaced it with this! Easy to install and performs admirably on my 305 cubic inch engine. 88 gmc.
