This is the perfect match for my 2007 2500 LBZ classic. It's relatively simple to remove the fan from the assembly, but it's not so simple to remove the fan from the assembly. Best wishes to you.
This is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part from General Motors.

When my old one began to shriek, I knew it was time to replace the bearing. This part fit perfectly in my 2007 GMC 2500 HD LBZ Duramax engine, and it was not easy to remove. To begin, you'll require a 1-inch diameter hole. A 7/8" wrench is used to tighten the nut, a strap wrench is used to hold the pulley in place, and then there is a lot of hard wrenching action. To remove the fan, I had to remove both the fan and the fan shroud. Removing or replacing the fan shroud is a difficult task. The fan pulley I bought was an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) GM part. External Torx sockets may be required to remove and/or replace the studs this pulley is designed to fit onto. These studs were eventually removed and replaced with new ones that came with the pulley. Make sure the threads are sealed with Loctite Blue 242. The part was exactly what I needed, and it fixed the bearing's squealing/shrieking problem.
it's fantastic.
On a 2008 LMM Duramax, it works perfectly.
