It appears that the 3 hole trim piece or side brackets need to be modified to fit properly. What is the best way to resolve this problem?

plan to install this trim piece into the Pioneer 4200 NEX installed in the NV 3500 van, then you will probably need to use some wire cutters to remove the bottom piece. To finish it off, take a file or sandpaper to smooth out the edges and let them sit flush to each other. However, there may be other head units that do not call for this cutting away. I was able to fit the trim around the Pioneer head unit, but I had to cut and sand it in order to get the screen door to swivel out. For the past few months, it has worked perfectly following these steps. Occasionally, a slight catch occurs, but it is not noticeable and does not restrict the door's movement.

How come in my 2008 Leaf it wouldn't work?

There's no way to tell, but I'm certain the radio and wiring are different.

This NDK780 is from the 2011-2013 model year The 2014 Nissan Multi Dash Kit was a perfect fit for my Nissan Leaf. IMPORTANT NOTE This will work with the 173x97mm (or thereabouts) American standard units (Pioneer and Kenwood are usually this size) but will not fit the 178x101mm European standard units (most Android OS-based head units fall into this size category). Therefore, choose your sizing carefully if you are buying something that isn't a name brand stereo, as it may not fit you.

It must be installed on newer Frontier models

am unable to use other kits advertised for use on a Nissan Frontier. I couldn't find it marked as a kit for the 2016 Nissan Frontier, but this one worked the best. It wasn't flimsy and it was easy to install. For those who are planning to install a double din unit into a Frontier after 2014, this is a must-have.
