I was able to install it just fine. This was one of the Z-indexes I used It is a part of the Series X family I used the Act Craft Knife to trim it and it worked great!
I regret to inform you that this product will not fit the 2009 C180 Kompressor.
It is important to use a cloth to remove any loose clear coat the tape line will stick fine once it is removed mine has been on for almost a year without any issues
This is not the case. I have an original railing on my car with the same width along the entire length. It's a I really liked how it fit along the molding and it looked good

I thought this was a great idea since my Mercedes roof rails were defective in the clear coat. It's easy to apply the strips, and I carefully burnish them as I used them. In certain spots and on the edge, the soft plastic/rubber material is rather lumpy, and the plastic is not completely smooth. There's probably a combination of pointing out any uneven edges underneath or in the material manufacture process. These lumps don't flatten out, no matter how thick the material was. As a result of laying these down on a warm day (good tip, they adhered well) and the material was more malleable, the process went smoothly.
The clear coat on the OEM rain channels has begun to flake off over time, so this is a good solution for those who do not want to spend $150 per channel to replace them. The strips do not look smooth everywhere they are applied, as stated by another reviewer. The quality is very good. There was a peeling and flaking to the exterior trim of my Mercedes Benz C 300 roof. As far as the design was concerned, I HATED it. It was still fairly new for its age. When I first saw this product, I was skeptical, but after installing it I am very happy I tried This product is of excellent quality and looks fantastic on my C350. It was super simple to install as well. The only tool you need to taper the ends of the roof moldings is a razor blade or some other sharp item. The best time to apply is at a temperature that is relatively warm, as someone else mentioned in a review. As for me, I had a 70 degree temperature. Regardless, it looks better than the OEM roof rails that have now been hidden because they are expensive and make a lot of sense. That's what I wanted - it's like they weren't there at all. This is a highly recommended book.
The cover did an excellent job. My black C350 looked completely different after I installed this kit. There is no possibility of me adding a roof rack, so I am not concerned about it.
The exterior of my car was on the verge of being sold and this was the finishing touch. Simple to install and looks great.
