As an additional input to the REAR ABS, this sensor works either as a cruise control or as an additional input for cruise control. My 2004 Ram 1500 ST has only two wheel rear ABS, so I ordered this driver's side front wheel hub assembly because I needed to replace the driver's side wheel hub. Once the assembly arrived, I removed the driver-side wheel as part of the preparation to replace the old hub assembly, and I noticed a sensor wire running into the center of the driver-side As I was confused, I checked the hub on the PASSENGER side and discovered there was no sensor wire there. This therefore confirms that my vehicle has two wheels with The item CANNOT be used on the left front (driver's side) of the vehicle, as stated in the item description. It is easy to check if any sensors are installed on one/both front wheel hubs by peeking under the wheel well and looking.

I would recommend this product. I am pleased with the quality. The bearing does not hum or make noise like some other wheel bearings I have purchased. The product worked well and I will definitely buy it again when I need to replace the other side.
