Yes. My tractor's battery circuit is killed by using it as a switch. BTW. It's well-made and durable.
In most cases, the Fastronix 303-A will be used. The 001 Master Disconnect Switch has a continuous current rating of 180 amps and an intermittent current rating of 1000 amps; however, the estimated current load will ultimately determine which disconnect switch you should use.
I'm not sure you need to do any more research on it.
On a four-battery Peterbilt, I installed these disconnects, and the Freightliner is no exception. I split the batteries and installed two switches, one for each set of two batteries, due to the excessive current flowing during startup. I had to make some custom cables, but everything is in working order.

I needed to turn off the power to my flatbed tow truck's batteries, so I used this. This is the most durable and high-quality cutoff switch I've ever encountered, and I'm very pleased with the quality and load capacity of this switch. If you're looking for a cutoff switch, this is the one to go with. AAA+++.
This one was exactly what I needed and fit perfectly in my truck. It's made of sturdy metal and includes all of the necessary pins for installation and proper placement. I'm hoping for a long life to shut my winch on and off, and they even responded to my email quickly. CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY.
It is well-made. Heavy-duty construction. The on/off switch is in a good place. I put it on a tractor to cut off the battery when it's parked in the barn, and it works great.
Holy cow, this is a heavy hitter. I had previously used other switches, and this was supposed to be the replacement. It's very well made, has some weight to it, and I like how the pin keeps it from rotating. Good buy.
great. Because I have an undetermined battery drain, I use it to turn off and on my car's negative battery.
I had to wiggle it in to get it to connect. I started the truck, let it run for a while, then turned it off and disconnected. The next morning, I had to uninstall it at 3 a. m. so I could start the truck.
Very well constructed. High-amperage applications are possible due to the sturdy construction. It has a locator pin that keeps the switch from spinning while in use, which I like. To install, I simply needed to drill a small hole next to the mounting hole. The price is reasonable. When I wasn't using my travel trailer, I used this as a battery shutoff. This was a good buy.
This was purchased as a low-cost solution to my 1995 F-150's battery drain problem. 150 5. I ran jumper cables from my battery to the switch, cutting the ends off (cheaper than raw wire). When I park it now, I simply turn off the power. There will be no more problems- I'm on the hunt!.
