Questions & Answers

Is this a 30 amp or a 40 amp circuit breaker?

30 AMP

How do you test these relays/fuses, or tell if one is blown?

Apply 12 volts to specific poles and listen for an audible click; if not, swap them around on the car; chances aren't all of them are dead. Just make sure you're only swapping relays with the same rating.

It's a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ Cooling Fan Relay that works
5/5

In a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo WJ, I replaced the cooling fan relays with these. Everything will point you to a different part that is located under the passenger side headlight if you go looking for the cooling fan relay for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This was not the case with my car, and the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment has two relays (high and low). These replaced Tyco relays numbered 04848879AA 72472M after I read on the internet that the originals had been superseded by this part number and decided to give them a try. The connectors lined up perfectly with the factory wiring connectors, despite the fact that they were slightly smaller overall than the originals. They appear to function properly, and the cooling fan has been running smoothly for several weeks with no signs of overheating. br>br>Please keep in mind that each pack contains two items. I couldn't find it in the advertisement, so I ordered two. I ended up with two two-piece sets (one of which I returned). This was a pleasant surprise because I had initially thought they were a little pricey.

The problem is that the right part is incorrect
4/5

This was the correct replacement part, but the problem had never existed in the first place.

It's a relay, in case you didn't realize
5/5

I'm not sure what to say. It's a genuine OEM part that just plugs in. There are no complaints because of the quick shipping.

Excellent price/quality ratio
4/5

Surprisingly good value for the price - You must manually lift and set the tone arm, which is inconvenient.

Fix for the V8 engine in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
5/5

The engine computer, which is located in the EC left of the engine and a little forward, is one of the many problems with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The original computer would sometimes force the engine to shut off, yes, literally shut off in traffic, usually during acceleration. Of course, Chrysler denies it, but those of us who have witnessed it know it to be true, and it's terrifying and dangerous to be on a busy freeway on ramp at night. The internal relay was removed and mounted outside the computer as a temporary fix. When that didn't work (and it did for those of us who had it happen), replacing the relay with a 04727370AA (50732) OR the 56007080AB (50732) made everything work fine for several months or a year until THAT relay died and had to be replaced (the ECT light is the clue). THEN Chrysler redesigned the stupid kluge fix with a new kluge fix that looks nicer than the first, but at least it still allows access to the relay that is externally mounted. Anyway, if you have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with one or both of the recall modifications to your engine computer, THIS RELAY will replace whatever the dealership installed and your car will run fine. Daimler, for yet another brilliant design that you deny is a problem despite the fact that you've had TWO recalls to address the issue (and it still isn't fixed).
