I'm looking for one for a 16V 4AG carbureted engine. Can this driver be installed in the distributor?

The distributor does not have this RPM Activated switch installed. This is where I put it in my race car, either on the firewall or on the floor board.

which wire--yellow or gray--do you want to use? Is it possible to connect the pink wire on the msd 8987 to make it activate at a specific rpm?

NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) are the two colors, so choose whatever you need for your application. I'm not sure what pink wire you're talking about because there isn't one on this module. Because I noticed it on the timing retard module, I recommend using NO, which will send a signal to pink when the rpm is reached.

Is this compatible with a Subaru four-cylinder engine? Also, does this require the use of a MSD box?

This is a basic rpm switch that will work with your Subaru motor as well. To make it work, you simply need to be able to grab the necessary rpm signal from the loom. Check out the instructions that are available on the internet. It can be used without a MSD ignition box.

I have one of these in my drag car for the solenoid shift and was wondering if anyone knew how to test it without running the car to 7500 rpms and if I could just test it in my garage or not
