Metric. I would have given it more stars if the description said 3/8 tread, but it's metric, and one of the threads was broken on one of them.

There are 25 threads in total. The ball fits a standard 10mm opening on the lift support, but the threads are M8 1 instead of M8 2. 3/8 instead of 25 The ball fits a standard 10mm opening on the lift support, so I'll be able to make it work with some new nuts; however, if you already have threaded inserts to match, this may be a problem.

Weak; I easily twisted one apart, but they worked well enough to use; however, I'm not sure how durable they'll be in the long run.

It's an 8mm metric thread, not a 3/8" American thread

The 3/8" thread was listed incorrectly in the description. The thread is 8mm in diameter and is Metric. Because of all the reviews on AMZN, this item description should have been corrected a long time ago.
