Questions & Answers
I bought this gauge because I trust the Auto Meter brand, it's small, and I needed something to show 9 to 12 pounds of boost; it's perfect! 2 pounds of boost is a very small amount; in my opinion, it is not excessive, but I am not familiar with your application.

The meter appeared to be brand new when I received it, but when I opened it, the pin that holds the gauge in place was missing. This pin is installed by the manufacturer in order to keep the gauge calibrated while it is in transit. Despite the fact that there was a hole where the pin should have been, I assumed this one was different because I'm not an expert. I went ahead and started getting ready for the install, only to discover that there is no TEE. I went to the hardware store, not knowing what I was doing, and spent $10. 00 on a brass tee and nipples to tie it all together. The boost barely registered after connecting it (which was very simple). I spent hours going over every detail to ensure there were no leaks. There has been no improvement. So I went to Amazon and purchased a nearly identical one, which I then connected. I'm returning the old gauge, along with all of the new sealed parts from the new gauge that I never used (including the nipple), and expecting a refund. Please don't give it to anyone else. IT'S A WRONG PRODUCT. I squandered a significant amount of both time and money. Amazon does not make me happy.
It was accurate when tested against a regulated airline, had easy mount posts for a quick bracket build, and fit perfectly where I wanted it to. If desired, there is even an optional backlight bulb.
I've got it on my 6 now. There are five turbo diesel engines. I won't be running more than 10 psi, so this works perfectly. for now.
It really works. On a 6, I'm running it. In a 98 Chevy pickup, there's a 5 Detroit diesel engine.
No issues at all with the gauge.
