I purchased a boat that had been sitting for approximately six years. The term "tilt" or "trim" hasn't been used in a long time. When I got the boat home and started working on it to get it running, the tilt and trim worked, but it sounded like it was having some difficulty operating it. Pump was making a strange noise. After a few times of moving the T, it was drained and replaced with this fluid. T up and down a few times, it sounds normal and the problem has been resolved. For me, it worked perfectly.
It works. My engine is running smoothly once more. What else can you ask for in a hydraulic fluid? On my 125 Merc Saltwater OB, I've been using it.
When I needed to replace an OMC tilt and trim motor, I ordered this and used it. It performs admirably and arrived promptly.
Trim motor and pump had to be replaced. I added this fluid after it was installed and it works perfectly.
Squirting the fluid into the small trim seal hole is simple.
Oil was used to trim the outdrive on a Volvo boat.
