After some searching, I came across this Prestone product for Asian vehicles, which has the highest working mileage of any product I looked at. I purchased three and flushed them myself. I was a little too liberal with the flushing and ran out of fluid, so I dashed to the nearest Walmart and purchased a fourth container to replenish the reservoir. I used to hear a squeaking noise when I turned the wheel all the way to either end before the flush. That noise no longer exists after this flush, indicating that it is doing its job. (Of course, turning the wheel all the way to the end and hitting the end too often is not a good idea, but it's good to see that this fluid now eliminates that noise. ) This is a fluid that I would strongly recommend.
The car still rolls after I poured it into the hole.
I brought this product because I knew it would be useful in my vehicle. After a few days, I receive notice that it will be returned due to damage. I'm sorry this happened, but it's most likely due to the packaging or delivery service. br>br>Now for the product itself, I purchased it from an Autozone after receiving the notification. This product performs admirably in my vehicle and, based on my personal experience over the last month, is far superior to alternative power steering fluids. So I can recommend the product, but if you don't want to take a chance on it arriving in one piece, buy it in person rather than online.
Fluidity is great. This is what I did with my 2007 CR-V. V to do a complete flush by disconnecting the upper hose from the reservoir, lifting the vehicle enough to clear the wheels, and turning the steering wheel left to right a few times to pump in the fluid once a suitable line is connected to the removed line; it took a little more than 3 bottles to do, but I only ordered 3. So I dashed down to my neighborhood auto parts store and bought a bottle of aftermarket Honda PS fluid for a fraction of the price of this fluid. If you're thinking about getting this fluid, I'd check around first to see what's available locally, plus you can use coupons. Aside from that, the fluid is effective.
On a Toyota 4Runner, it worked perfectly. Pump whining that was caused by Trans was silenced. The fluid recommended by the manufacturer. Trans should be removed from Toyota's list of recommended vehicles. Fluid.
Just keep in mind that one bottle may not be sufficient for your vehicle. I had to dash to the nearest Walmart to get a replacement so I could finish the job.
In my 2011 Nissan, it worked perfectly. At low speeds, the power steering began to make a slight whine, but after changing the fluid, the noise was gone. I'm extremely pleased, and I've saved a substantial amount of money!.
It has a better feel to it than the OEM.
