Anti-foaming and anti-rusting agents, anti-oxidants, viscosity stabilizers, corrosion inhibitors, wear additives, and a water emulsification additive are all included in the SeaStar Hydraulic Steering Fluid's proprietary additive package.

SeaStar Hydraulic Steering Fluid is the ONLY steering fluid that has been validated and performance matched to ensure that SeaStar Solutions Hydraulic Steering Systems perform at their best.

NOTE: There is no difference between HA5440 and HA5440H in terms of formulation. This is a change in part number only, and it has no other implications.

When used properly, a hydraulic filler kit (part HA5458) from SeaStar Solutions allows for a clean bleed of a hydraulic steering system.

SeaStar Solutions recommends using ONLY SeaStar Steering Fluid in their hydraulic steering systems, due to recent upgrades in SeaStar Solutions' Steering System components.

How much does this set you back? Although the product is satisfactory, the price is outrageous

There isn't a liquid that costs more per gallon than this one! I'm aware that there are less expensive alternatives, but none are readily available in the marketplace.
