I was able to swap out my headlight in about 15 minutes because it came with everything I needed (wiring adapters). The program is very easy to use.
I did not find it helpful It will help if I tell you that I have a 2012 sportster 72.
In short, yes. The 2001 Sportster custom 1200 is equipped with it.
On Dyna models, this headlight fits any model.

It is not guaranteed to work with a can bus bicycle. In a nutshell, The HD breakout cable plugs right into the housing on my 2013 hd breakout screen. There is a lot of light in the room. My high beams worked fine for a few days, but now my gauge indicates the bulb is out and I have fault codes for an open circuit in my high beams. In the high beam mode, it works only briefly before it stops working. By utilizing the Vance and Hines code reader, I have permanent fault codes for open circuits on my low and high beams. Both codes are cleared and the light works normally when I plug in the stock halogen bulb, which proves the problem is inherent in the light.
The daymaker is far less powerful. There were a few others I tried, but they didn't work with the electronics on the 2003 sportster and high beam remained I've tested this one and it works. You did a great job. If you install the trim ring, you will need to add a gasket between the light and internal light ring so that the light is tight. There was a 4 sided rubber gasket on factory lights that you could use again. The low beam, which I use a lot, is very bright so it doesn't matter that the high beam doesn't make a great deal of difference.
Trying to find the chrome ring head after installing the headlight proved impossible, so now the head is collecting dust on the bench.
This is definitely a better view than what I had with my stock headlight on my 2006 A I would recommend it to anyone.
I really like this light from the moment I saw it. The sun is super bright today! This replacement is super easy to install (just unplug the OEM one, plug in this one), seems to be solidly built, and seems to look SO much better than Rather than spend $60, I would rather save it I'm not so sure about HD. J&J and Best Buy will charge more for it Unless they're all coming from the same factory in China, chances are they're all made by the same company.
As soon as I tried to fit this into the bezel, it did not fit. As a result of the shape of the back of the product, it would not fit with all of the other Thanks to the refund, but it would have been nice if it would have gone through.
It seems to be working well. Installs in a few minutes with plug and play. This is not as bright as MOONS or day maker but you get what you pay for, and that's a much brighter light than stock at a much more reasonable price.
I am likely to have received a previous return of the light. Some of the corners have deeper groves that have been scuffed. Most of the glass is scuffed. It appears that the back side of the product does not have a plug and needs to be assembled. Whether the connecting wire was cut off or the manufacturer is lying about the fact that it is a simple plug-in is unclear. Time was wasted here. I will pay a little more money to work with a reputable company in the future.
