As of now, all is well! I was satisfied to see that my original stator looked the same

I then went on to my 2000 Sugar Sand Mirage with a Mercury 175 Sport Jet. The engine turns over fine on the hose, and like it should, it reaches redline. I haven't yet put it in the water. As soon as we take the boat on its first boating trip, we'll try to post an update.
