At the top of the Amazon page, there is a field where you can enter the year, make, and model of your car. Whether it fits or not can be determined by that.
It's probably true. In my case, I have it mounted on a 1971 Buick GS sportwheel, and it is weird and In order to trim the post, I had to trim it by half an inch, which is fairly common, but there is nothing to hold the spring/post assembly in place in It only takes a few minutes to jam the wheel on top of it. There is no difference between the contact assembly for the Chevelle and the GS wheel, so it should work the same way The Rhett
I worked in a firebird, but I don't know
My 94 Jeep Wrangler is a very nice vehicle. To give the metal post the correct height, I had to cut it down. Fitting the spring seemed to be fine. There was no room for the black plastic retainer. A press release doesn't seem to be available for my YJ Plastic retainers are fitted in black. I guess it fits, but it needs to be modified a bit.

My Jeep Wrangler YJ 94 is fitted with this. If you are installing the hood on a vehicle after 1969 (or one of those years), you need to trim the metal pin down to what the instructions state. Assuming I cut the number to just 1, I think the number ended up being The measurement might have been 75", or maybe About 25" tall. Simply follow the instructions to what to cut it at, and you will be good to go. I'll go ahead and take care of the plastic retainer cap now. Unlike the YJ, my barrel part for the horn contact did not have a notch so that this plastic part could lock into place. That plastic tab broke off when I cut it off, so I had to cut it off and the cap shattered. My retaining ring still worked as intended and I was able to reuse it. The YJ will probably have another black plastic ring made by Dorman, but if there is another one, I will be happy. It also would have helped if there had been a diagram showing how all the pieces fit For me to see how all of this fits together, I had to watch a video on YouTube.
Several of my horn cams have been tried with it. The steering wheel would not fit on the stock CJ7, the Grant one, or the replacement wheel from GM. Despite attempts to fit the contact into the hole, its head cannot fit. The cam on my new camera snapped where the black bit is supposed to lock into place, we tried it on and it snapped the tube.
Just had a look at it now and this piece, as well as a couple Luthers I thought was missing are not. Now that I've got this new part installed and some other stuff installed, my horn works perfectly.
There's nothing good about China! Dorman doesn't tell me where they get their parts from. It is too large for the hole to fit the head of the pin. I urge Dorman to wake up. It was my old pin I had to use!.
The product was great. It took some time to figure out how it installed because there was no one It would have been better if the instructions had been clearer.
You can get detailed instructions on installation from YouTube/ Ididit / Horn Contact Installation since they spell out the steps in very clear terms.
I used it on my 1970 El Camino w/o tilt however, I was also using the Dorman cancel cam (the green one), and it did not work with it without After the pin head was sanded down, the green shaft with the hole in it could be fit into it. The rest of the features are fully functional.
