The 1 inch is for stock Harleys, so you'll need a different size. I also advise you to purchase a throttle tube.
Yes, as well as the Quick Turn Throttle tube. As a result, they're a fantastic match.
If you have 1" bars, they should work. I used some on a bobber project and they turned out great.
Cutting the original grips longways down the middle with a razor blade is simple but time-consuming. Remove the original grips, loosen the switch control housing on the left side, and scrape away any remaining glue or rubber from the throttle and handle bar. Do not let go of the throttle. To install a new grip, spray the inside of the grip with hairspray and also spray the handlebar and throttle. After that, replace the grips and wipe up any spills. All done

Okay, so I got these and they were simple to install on the bike, but I was disappointed because they were about a quarter inch too short, especially on the throttle side, which didn't quite touch the starter housing. It irritated me so much that I began looking for an alternative. However, there was always good ol' you tube. Sure enough, I found a video of a guy installing these same grips, and I discovered that I had neglected to pull and stretch the grips prior to installation. It's not difficult at all. Simply pull as hard as you can on each grip. Once you've done it a few times, you'll be able to call it a day. They're now perfectly in place. Another suggestion is to spray a smidgeon of WD-40. Inside, there are 40 for an even easier installation.
With the exception of a 10mm wrench and a small 10mm crescent, this is a snapshot of the supplies. To relieve tension on both cables, use a 26 torx bit. **On the stock throttle side bar, silicone spray was used to lubricate both the cable sleeves and the bar, as well as the interior of the throttle sleeve. br>The old decaying crip residue on the throttle sleeve was removed with a wire wheel. Soak the sleeve in water and then wash it with dawn detergent. Work on Grips while using a parts cleaner. 45 minutes is the maximum time for a piece of cake.
These were purchased for my husband's 2019 Road Glide, and he absolutely adores them! Even in the sweltering heat of Texas, they have a fantastic grip on them. When he starts swearing, his hands don't slip, and the Vans soles allow for airflow. I found an installation video on YouTube and was able to put them on for him without any issues. Make sure you have hairspray on hand to help you slide them on. You'll still need some elbow grease, but the hairspray acts as a sticking agent once it dries, locking them in place. You'll still need to buy a throttle tube separately; just make sure you get the right one for your bike model. I found one for $5 on lowbrow Customs because Amazon didn't have the one I needed.
Installing it was a breeze; However, you'll need WD-40 to remove the OG grips. 40, a towel, and a hairstyle with a flat top After sticking the flat head under the old grips (using a cloth to avoid damaging the grips), spray WD-40 inside the grips. 40 to detach the grip from its adhesive Clean the WD-40 off now. 40, using the cloth Then, once it's dry, stretch and twist the new van's grips until you're satisfied that they're properly stretched. br>br>Now all you have to do is use hair spray to act as a lube and then turn into a glue-like substance inside the new grips, which you can simply place over the bars. If you use hair spray, give it 20 minutes to dry before wiping away the excess gunk and getting rid of it.
The item arrived in perfect condition. SUPER EASY INSTALLATION: 1 larger diameter for your throttle and a slightly smaller diameter for the left side. It was more difficult to remove the factory grips than it was to install these. Tips: br>br> Removal : To loosen the factory grips, I used a simple plastic Auto trim/interior removal tool. I sprayed some WD40 on them and they came right off. You should avoid scratching your handlebars or damaging the throttle controls. Install: br>br> I attempted to apply them with hairspray but was unsuccessful. I ended up using a small amount of WD40 all the way around the inside, which went right on and is still very tight, with no slippage or spinning on either side.
The fit and finish are excellent. Installing it was a breeze, and it was incredibly grippy without being sticky. I like the oxblood color because it looks great with the green of my 2014 Yamaha bolt r spec. I'll definitely buy these again if they ever wear out, which doesn't appear to be for a long time. Because they were a little shorter than my stock grips, I left a little of the originals' interior ends on to compensate.
I needed a replacement for my stock Harley grips, which I liked but were 20 years old and stained my hands black. I have arthritis in my hands and was hoping that new grips would be of assistance. br>The stock Harley grips on my 2000 SuperGlide were extremely glued on, so I had to cut, peel, and remove them with a wire wheel on a drill. These grips were extremely tight, but with a little dish soap/water and patience, I was able to get them on without too much difficulty. You might have problems with them later if they aren't tight enough to begin with. I didn't use any glue because I don't believe they'll fall apart. They make you feel good. br> The diameter is a little smaller than a stock Harley, but it's fine for my large hands. It has a squishy feel to it and is extremely grippy, especially when wearing gloves. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because I haven't ridden with them long enough.
Awesome! I wish they were a little wider, and getting them on felt like wrestling an alligator, but I think that's the point. They have no intention of going anywhere. They're not slick, and while the orange ones appear to get dirty quickly, they appear to be fairly simple to clean. It was well worth it.
