For those who despise gripping a 7/8" tube, these grips are ideal
5/5

I've been using them for a long time. br>br>I have slightly larger hands, have been riding street and motocross for years, and prefer a larger hand surface. br>For me, the typical sport bike grips are too thin. MX grips are functional, but on long rides, the full waffle style wears my hands out. br>br>These are currently installed on my Buell and KTM ADV motorcycles. I always sit down on my Buell, but I alternate between sitting and standing on my KTM. It probably sounds ridiculous, but I like the feeling of having a good grip while standing on my bike and riding 100 miles per hour down the road (which I've only ever done in a completely legal and safe manner, by the way). The only thing I would change is to have an open ended version so that I wouldn't have to trim the ends. Otherwise, they last longer than expected (the buell grips have been there for about three years) and are comfortable for me. They're basically my go-to pair of shoes. br>br> I'm not sure what I'll do once they've left, but I own a Buell, so that's not unusual.

OURY grips are unbeatable
5/5

In grips, OURY is number one. I spent a lot of time on a bike and tried a lot of different grips, but when I got my first set of OURY grips about 18 years ago, I knew I had found the grip for me. OURY's are installed on all of my bikes. They simply perform admirably and provide a pleasant experience. 1. br>br> Within a few days, they were delivered.
2. They came in good condition.
3. The grips are constructed from high-quality materials.
4. Make sure the "OURY" logo is facing up to distinguish between right and left grips.
5. They are very simple to put together. I prefer to apply them with a drop of isopropyl alcohol and then wait a day for the alcohol to evaporate.
6. They appear to be fantastic.

My mountain bikes are the same way
5/5

However, I'm on my VFR at the moment. I'm not sure why slightly wider grips aren't more common and popular, just like they are in mountain biking. For this type of pedal grip, Oury is pretty much the only game in town. It's great to see that they're also making grips for sport bikes. Previously, I had been purchasing the "ever so slightly wider" version of Sport Grips, etc. , which are sufficiently wider without being cruiser grips or anything. To give you an idea, I wear medium to large gloves depending on the brand, and I still find standard grips to be too narrow. This is fantastic. They're also just the right amount of tacky, so it's very easy to hold the throttle with your palm and relax a little while cruising. For standard grip bikes with end weights (are there any that don't? ), punching a hole in the closed end is all that's required for installation. On my 2002 VFR, the length was perfect, and all that was needed was a little hairspray. They are not slipping and are still very comfortable after a few months. I believe they wear out less on a motorcycle as well, because I don't move my gloves as much as I do on a cross country or downhill mountain bike.

FOR THE WIN, OURY GRIPS I came across these while looking for new motorcycle grips and immediately added them to my cart; I used to ride mountain bikes and Oury grips were my go-to choice
5/5

I knew they made motorcycle grips, but I didn't know they did. My hands and wrists are relieved of a great deal of strain thanks to the sticky rubber blocks. Lizard Skins is a Colorado-based company that makes these. They are manufactured in the United States of America by a California-based company. This is a fantastic company to support because they produce high-quality products. Take a look at them and see if you can't find something you like.

Grips that are larger and more comfortable to hold
5/5

On my Ducati Panigale, I installed these grips. Anyone who knows or has ridden one will tell you that they're difficult to ride at low speeds or in everyday situations. I still felt like there was room for improvement after installing a throttle spacer, so I came across a set of these OURY grips on a track instructor's bike. They had to be mine. The larger diameter is ideal for controlling the throttle as well as for larger hands. Downshifts are a lot smoother now, with no choppy throttle hitting bumps or low-speed turns, and they're also a lot more grippy and comfortable. They're low-cost and simple to put together. I'm definitely going to put these on all of my future bikes, whether they're on or off the road.

The grips on Ouray have remained the same
5/5

I've always liked Ouray grips and have used them on my dirt bikes. My 96 Honda GL 1500 was fitted with the pair I purchased. These grips are no longer long enough to cover the original hand grip area of the 1500. I had these horrible foam grips on it before that fell apart, and with them came a chrome band that sat next to the control pods (aftermarket). After measuring them from the chrome band to the end of the bars, I decided that Ourays would work with mods, so I purchased them. A thick rubber grip met the bars beneath the old foam. That was something I was completely unaware of. I cut the chrome bands off after removing the old ones, being careful not to damage the rubber underneath. To make the Ourays fit and look presentable, I anticipated having to go shopping for spacer pieces. Because the outer band was the same size as the inner rubber ring of the new Ouray grip, I reversed the rubber, stuffed it back into the chrome bands, and slid it back on. They look fantastic and are extremely comfortable to use; I adore them! The GL 1500 grips are identical to OEM motorcycle grips in size. (7/8" and 1") I've seen these dreadful chrome-covered grips, and I despise them! Too many of my old dirt-riding buddies used to buy new bikes and a set of Ourays at the same time. Remove the new grips and replace them with Ourays when you get home. (I was one of the people who did it!) ) They're still made, and I'll keep buying them after 40 years.

My thumper benefits greatly from the vibration reduction
5/5

My motorcycle is a BMW F650GS with a single cylinder. Since I've had it, the grips have been Progrip Dual Sport. I only use Oury grips on my mountain bikes, so putting them on my motorcycle didn't seem like a big risk. I'm in ecstasy right now. br>br>I chose the road style because it's similar to the ones I have on my bikes (pedal) and I'm used to them. The event went off without a hitch. br>br>The thumper can cause high-frequency vibration at the handlebars, but I'm not feeling it with the Oury grips.
