To install these Zeta handguards, you'll need to use a screwdriver or something to pry the end of the grip out. I followed the instructions and used an X-Acto knife to cut the end off. I cut myself while using an acto knife. I then used a screwdriver to pry the end out; To get it out, I had to put the screwdriver inside, position it, and then slam the whole thing down on the ground, butt of the screwdriver handle first. After it was all said and done, I'd cut myself twice and had some rather unsightly grips, but they worked. br>br>Comes with six throttle cams, three for 2-stroke engines and one for 4-stroke engines. strokes for a total of four stroke. The setup is extremely simple; you should be able to complete it in under ten minutes. To be realistic, you'll need to remove your hand guards and poke the ends out, as well as disassemble the throttle cable housing, locate your Philips, and un-plug it. It will take approximately 45 minutes to glue your sticky old grips, acetone the bars, and FIND the brake cleaner. It is, however, a simple process. br>br>The grips are extremely grippy and appear to last a long time; however, I park in the sun every day at work, so I'll let you know if they melt. If there is no response, As of January 2020, they are still active.
This stuff is incredible. The way grips are installed has been completely reimagined. These aren't your grandmother's soap and slippers. The right side has a throttle tube and everything, as well as numerous adaptors for various cables. The left side slides on easily and is then clamped down with a hex bolt, making it simple to install and remove without damaging them.
Check it three times. Warning- As stated in my "amazon vehicle match," this does not work for TTR125. I even looked through some reviews and found a guy who said he had installed them on several ttr's, so Amazon said it was a match. Regrettably, I didn't follow up on the seller's comments and left it at that. br>br>If you can find a match, they're probably fantastic.
Before you go out and buy them, double-check that they will fit your motorcycle. They were purchased for my KLX250, but they did not come with the necessary cam. It is available for purchase on its own. I didn't want to buy anything else because I already felt like I had overspent on grips. I decided to put them on my WR450 and put something else on the klx250.
I've had the grips on my kids 125 for a few months now, and they're still holding up well. I'd bet against anyone who thinks they can twist these things. It took me less than 5 minutes to install both; I'm not sure if the Allen key is included, but cutting the old grips off and removing the glue was the most time-consuming part of the process. I'll never buy another set of grips. br>br>Slip it on, tighten it up, and you're ready to go. br>br>I'm going to buy more for all of the bikes, and I even got a pair of ODI ATV grips.
Apart from the fact that I didn't realize I'd have to disassemble my throttle housing to install these, they were simple to put together. They came with a tightening allen on the clutch side so you don't have to use safety wire, and they came with a throttle tube so you only have to glue one side. They took about 10 minutes to install after I trimmed off the end caps and a quarter inch on the throttle side to avoid rub.
Depending on whether your bike is a two-stroke or four-stroke, the snap-on connections work well. Overall, this purchase is excellent and I strongly recommend it!.
