Questions & Answers

With lowers on my 2014 Ultra Limited, I have a solid front end. My bike has an extended brake pedal. What type of extended brake pedal should I buy?

My apologies that I don't know if the lowers will fit on your bike. I can say I found it to be one of the best improvements on mine. I'm 6' 6". The inseam of these jeans is 38". Thanks for updating. I really like it.

This will fit a Vision 2021 road glide, right?

It's hard for me to say for sure. My SG rolled into a RG when I had my 2014 SG. Nothing could be further from the truth. With a height of 6'6" and a weight of 340 pounds, I'm a big guy. A much more comfortable angle is created by changing the length and laying it down in this manner. It works for me, so I hope it will work for you too.

Do you get a pedal pad with it? It doesn't look like that in the picture, does it?

Since the #9671 does not include the pedal pad, you can use your stock or purchase one of ours. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Greg.

Do you know if this will fit a 1996 Fatboy?

There is no way to fit it. If you have a 1996 Fat Boy, you should use part number 9061

Stocks changed a little bit over the past week
3/5

Despite my avid desire to play with this pedal, it wasn't the one! Having Kuryakyn as a big name in the mc industry, they had a lot riding on this! You can ask any HD touring rider what they think of the stock brake pedal, the toe gets stuck under it, it sits too high, so you have to strain to cover the brake with you foot, etc. It can be seen from the pictures that the so-called extended one (in black) is nearly identical to the stock one, if not a little more compact. Basically it takes a slight dip down, and so yes, there is a 1-inch drop in height, which is cool, but your toes continues to sit directly under the pedals? A ratio of about 1 is needed Why doesn't this item seem to be sold anywhere? 2" longer, why is it so hard to locate? I would appreciate if someone sent me the details of a program or service like the one I'm describing.

I love it! The app does what it is advertised to do
5/5

The pedal is so much more comfortable than the ones in the factory! I found installing to be pretty simple. As described in the instructions, you must remove your engine guards before installing them. It would have been difficult to remove the radiators from my 2015 Limited since they are attached to the engine guards! In the end, I found it easiest to remove the whole bracket that houses the shaft the pedal slides It will be easier to install it this way. Next, you can bolt the bracket back on and slip the cotter pin under the pedal. This is simple! It's a bit low that my boot seems to be unable to fit under it since the toe of the boot no longer fits under the pedal. It was while riding through a sleet storm in New Mexico when I realized this. With this change, my left boot now rests on the pedal next to the faring, so the cold is no longer shielded by the lowers! This is not a big deal and it's a fair trade for a more comfortable and controllable brake pedal!.

However, I found this upgrade to be less than perfect
5/5

By doing so, the problem of a flat or uneven brake pedal height on the newer touring HD's is fixed. I think those complaining that the shorty bracket (which goes on Ultra bikes with lower fairings) did not fix the odd reach angle are likely to have the shorty bracket. As you can see, it's much shorter than the one for non-slip Fairings at the bottom of the bike. Having the pedal in place makes it much easier to get your foot over it. The design moves it ahead of the floorboard so you have more space for your feet to move about. Due to the change of pedal angle, there is a change in pedal pressure. In short, yes. It will feel like you have to apply more force to the pedal to do the same amount of I love this pedal, but I can't say enough good things about it. Its angle has changed. It's down now instead of forward. The length of my inseam is 38 inches. I am 6'5" tall. It was difficult to operate the brake pedal in the stock position. I regretted getting rid of my old bike with different controls because of this experience. I no longer had any complaints with my foot controls after this fix. Let's get to the part where we talk about "ease of installation". There is no such thing. Steps that are necessary are not mentioned in the instructions. I had a bit of an idea what to expect from watching the youtube videos of the installation process prior to getting my unit. According to stock instructions, the highway bar mounts don't need to be removed so that the brake pedal can be twisted It's not an easy thing to reach and remove the cotter pin (particularly if you have large hands). need to remove the brake side floor board, loosen the front floorboard mount, disconnect the master cylinder from the engine mount, remove the highway bars, and then you can reach the brake lever mounts (sort of) to remove their factory brackets and install the replacements. The task will not be completed in 10 minutes. You have to put in a lot of time for a short reward. The payoff is oh so worth every minute of wrenching and parts that you have to remove and reinstall, but boy is that payoff worth it! For every factory-set bolt, you need to break it free and then retorque it. The 30-day period is worth all the effort There is a 40-minute time difference between the two. The product I purchased has been of very high quality. It is very convenient for me to have the brake pedal at a flatter From the beginning, Harley should have been doing everything they shouldn't have messed up. Although I had to spend a lot of time and money to get it right, it is what it is. If you are tall enough and having trouble with getting your foot into the stock pedal position, then this is for you.

I would like to start by saying that Kuryakyn products are typically excellent
3/5

It is my experience that Kuryakyn products are top notch, and I have been using them for decades. Every Harley I've had since I was a teenager has already been fitted with one of these extended levers, as Harley's arrogance believes one size fits all, no adjustment necessary! Anyway, I'm here. As it turns out, I had to remove my old brake pedal and replace it with a new one. It is not a tough job to do, but it is fiddly and generally a pain. The new pedal was installed, and everything was reinstalled with the bolts and screws torqued to specifications. The brake pedal head is not welded at a 45 degree angle to the extended arm, which was immediately noticeable when a leg was thrown over the bike. There isn't a mile of mismatch, but it is visible to the naked eye and is surely going to stress out my OCD. I was surprised to find that the pedal was no longer twist tailed to the cardboard insert when I opened the packaging, but I assumed it had come loose during As a result, I assume I was sold a repackaged product. I do not relish removing and replacing it again, so I will be requesting a replacement as soon as it is returned. However, Amazon's return policy is stellar, so we could request a replacement.

If you are thinking about buying it, then you need to click the 1 click buy With this upgrade you can get your foot down and not all the way up all the time like the OEM brake system would
4/5

As long as you are comfortable wrenching on your own motorcycle, which many people are, you can complete this process at home with ease. The process is not too lengthy. You aren't putting strain on your calf, ankle, or thigh by standing at an uncomfortable angle with this product. In addition to this, it allows for better control when driving in town (especially when the brake pedal is engaged). The upgrade is so vital that I will never again ride another Harley without it.
