Simply invest the additional $10 in the Mercury/Quicksilver tool. This tool was made with poor tolerances and does not properly fit Mercruiser hinge pin bolts. Take a look at the image to see how the profile of this tool and the correct Mercury tool differs. It's a little worn (from a single use! ), but it's still in good condition. ) but it's clear that it was never the right size in the first place. When the guys at the boat shop saw it, they laughed. This device is a waste of time.
The hinge pin was damaged when it was rounded out and rounded. To get rid of it, I had to weld it to a hinge pin. Purchase OEM directly from the manufacturer.
Buy with confidence, as it is of excellent quality and comes at a reasonable price.
THE FIRST TIME I USED IT, THE POOR QUALITY SHEARED OFF.
It's exactly what I wanted, and it arrived quickly.
Everything is as it should be.
