Rubber is nice and thick. On my AX-II, it fit perfectly. 15 is the transmission number. The old boot is missing, allowing noise and heat from the engine to enter the cabin. This solved both of those problems, and I'm very pleased with the results.
We have an 89 Jeep Cherokee with an automatic transmission (ax15). Many parts are hard to come by, so people are using a slightly smaller boot for a Wrangler and drilling new holes to mount it, according to Jeep forums. I was expecting to have the same experience with this boot, especially since the seller's comments and answers stated that it would not fit an XJ Cherokee, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is an exact replica of the original OEM part that requires no modifications, so yes, it will fit an 89 Cherokee. I was very pleased with my purchase, which arrived ahead of schedule, and I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again.
Because you can't get new shift boots for the XJ Cherokee, I purchased these for it. It was a little bigger, and the accordion was different, but I drilled three new holes and used one existing hole, and it worked perfectly, far better than the torn OEM one.
The floor is perfectly sealed and the fit is perfect.
As if they were new.
It's the perfect size for my Jeep TJ manual. It's a high-quality rubber.
