This boot's plastic ring is secured to the underside with plastic rivets. If those rivets come loose, the entire assembly must be replaced. Once you remove the shift knob, it's a simple task. For help removing the knob, look up YouTube videos. It's a trial, that's for sure.

It's difficult to shift all the way into first gear while wearing this boot. Because the rubber isn't soft enough, it won't fully fold when shifting into first and third gears. When I don't forcefully jam it all the way up, 1st gear now slams/pops out on a regular basis. It's a real pain. I'm hoping it will eventually break in and loosen up.
Awesome! It's a BREEZE to set up. It took me exactly 5 minutes. I sat in my center council seat like everyone else and yanked hard on my shift knob while twisting it slightly, and it popped right off. After that, I removed the oval plate from my old cover by unscrewing it. This replacement is so simple to install that it can be done in a matter of seconds. Place the front side first, then gently press down on the back side until the small clips snap into place. That concludes our discussion. So easy! I believe it is overpriced, but it is well worth the money. It's pretty legit because of the packaging, which was exceptional and had mopar labels all over it. Don't put it off any longer; purchase it now.
That issue was resolved with the use of this replacement boot.
Boot and bezel include a subframe, which is a great improvement at a low cost. Getting the shifter knob off was the most difficult part. However, you can watch videos on YouTube. I used a pipe wrench and a rag to remove the ccw and rotated it a little. It took me only 2 minutes to complete the installation.
Installing this was a breeze. The shift knob is a pain to remove; all you have to do is keep pulling, twisting, and yanking until it comes off. This component was easy to install and works flawlessly.
This product was easy to install and perfectly replaced the original in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler. If the need arises, I would purchase again.
This took me no more than 5 minutes to set up. It has a fantastic appearance and is of exceptional quality.
It's simple to set up! In our Jeep, it was incredibly simple to install! It looks a lot better than the one that was broken when we bought the Jeep used!.
