In this case, a bed liner is necessary to install the swing-away tool box. Having my toolbox for months gives me a lot of convenience. I often use it.
Yes, it already has a predrilled and taped hole. Not a single extra hole needed
It is likely that the SC205P will fit beds 8 feet long. At the back of the bed, both are mounted from the same point of attachment.
The answer is unknown. We were able to use it with the 2019 6 chassis. I need a bed that is 5 feet by 5 feet

Having read other reviews before ordering this, I laughed a little at complaints about value. However, now that I have purchased it, it is "value" that I am primarily concerned about. The irony is not lost on me. In terms of functionality, the product performs as advertised As simple to install as they said, it functions as they said, and the swing system appears to be just as useful Our mechanism keeps things dry, and it just goes back to doing what it was designed for. In any case, it looks kind of cheap once it's mounted. Also, it does not look like it would fit in my long bed truck - Despite the fact that the wheel well cutout is far aft of the actual wheel well, it functions perfectly. This is because I did not want to take up on precious storage space with a big diamond - The bed can be used to store the crossover toolbox instead of wasted space. As I see it, it is far too small to be of use at all so, I am now considering crossover toolboxes. If the swing out case had cost me around $100 I would have felt better about it, and I would have appreciated its value more. Also, I would like to point out There is no place for one of these on the passenger side of the truck due to electrical hookups there on Ford vehicles with the 5th wheel prep. There is no mention of that on their website that I could find, but a quick phone call confirmed.
It has been a little over a year since I bought both swing cases I bought. Unfortunately, neither has held up well. The first one I purchased was when I purchased my new truck in spring 2018, then the second one with my second purchase in the fall of 2018. In addition to wrenches, tie downs, lubricants, and a few other basic tools, I have them stocked. It is frequently necessary for me to adjust the latches so that they latch when closed with the weight of those items. Under the tool box where the release bar runs, I have started to see cracks where I bought my two tool boxes. As a result, they are exposed to the elements because I do not use a tonneau cover. The price I paid makes me want to buy something else if I had to buy it again. I am afraid I will soon be replacing mine with something simpler, such as an open If you're thinking of getting one or two of these, I hope you find this review helpful. Also, I hope the company will invest in this product and enhance its design in order to make this worth the hefty price. There are many simple things that could make these products significantly better and worth the price.
In a nutshell To give my husband as a Christmas gift, I bought him the driver's side. His favorite part about it is that it swings out and he does not need to climb up to get to Locking it in place is also a benefit. The one on the right is from a 2019 Ford F-150 The Ford lock was mounted first (see photo) before the swing case bracket was attached of course, so he can still use It works great and he wants one for the passenger side, too.
The update is The rating for overall customer satisfaction was improved by two stars on 6/14/2021. I would like to follow up on a few things I noted in my initial review. This load capacity is based on its weight. I don't know how long the hinges will hold with too much weight, but this thing latches with little difficulty even when the weight is lifted. I'm not sure how long the weight will cause sagging, but it seems to be holding up I am interested in a tonneau cover that is compatible with my vehicle. It has taken me just a short amount of time to get used to opening the tool box to remove or replace the tonneau cover, and I haven't found it nearly as inconvenient as I expected. My complaint is for something that isn't really all that significant. These were two things that I was having a problem with in my initial review, so I wanted to come back with a better perspective now. In fact, I love to write reviews of products I love the ones I want to love are much easier. I hate writing reviews of products I want to love but don't. The following is an overview of sections that apply to my work The key matched matched pivot lock that was included is not key matched so I cannot speak to the water resistant or the protection of the case lock. According to the product I ordered and received, it was an optional passenger side model that is compatible with 2020 Ford F-150 There are 350 beds ***** UNBOXING ***** With a sturdy plastic construction and metal hardware that appears to be high quality, the Swing Case looks good. Each component in the kit comes in its own case, which is easy to identify from the manual. A pivot lock with a key matched to the lock keys was also included, which is something I had heard in several reviews. **INSTALLATION ** You can do it just as easily as the marketing suggests. In order to complete the job, I had to let my 6 year old son assist me. He took about 25 minutes overall. During the course of about 10 minutes, I could have gotten it done. We used a screwdriver with the right bit and a drill, although a drill is handy if you have one. * SWING The romance was abruptly ended at this point. First, the latching mechanism had to be adjusted down to its lowest possible placement in order for the system to swing in and latch smoothly. There was a section in the instructions that covers that. In any case, once the box has been loaded with about 35 lbs of gear, it is not able to latch onto the side-mounted latch piece without lifting the box up. Though it latches securely, much of the convenience that was to be expected is taken away. Although it is much easier to latch it from the inside of the truck bed than from outside, I should have been able to avoid getting inside with this case. As a result of the poor fit of the latch into the door in the first place, unlatching requires significant force. Yes, it works, but before there was a much lighter pull, and gear was added. You don't have to be Superman to use it. In any case, adjusting the latch all the way down would fix this problem entirely if it were not already at the most minimal position. A CAPACITY OF The bag is large enough to hold plenty of stuff, but as is often the case, my imagination had far more planned for the bag than reality would I am a little disappointed by this, but I am solely responsible for it and cannot factor it into my star rating.
COMPATIBILITY My Ford truck has a folding tonneau cover that has a spring loaded clamp and a handle on either side to allow me to close the cover. It is physically impossible to latch the passenger side of the case while it is in the locked Nonetheless, it is impossible to be in bed with the tonneau cover closed and extended reach and lift require to get the case latched without being in bed aren't very convenient, but it is possible. A OVERALL VIEW There is a sag caused by so much weight below the rated capacity of 75 lbs that does not allow the unit to go through its normal operational range. My tonneau cover cannot be closed or opened with this box in its closed position, but this issue would not be important if it were easy to open. I'm also disappointed that I cannot lower the latch another quarter inch. All in all, I feel that what should have been an incredible ability to add an incredibly convenient feature to my truck has instead been turned into something that will eventually frustrate me until I eventually remove it However, at $200, I'm unsure if I would be willing to do so and I may opt to.
In a nutshell Finished putting the swing box together just now. Plastic boxes are generally not as sturdy as wood or metal ones. My 2019 F250 was ready in less than 15 minutes after I put it on. In addition to the first one, I will purchase the second one as well. For a single box, the price is a little steep. I believe that the convenience of not having to roll up or flip up your cover is a huge advantage, especially with the frigid temperatures we have been experiencing in Ohio.
Items arrived on time and appeared to be good quality. I mounted it up and it went well. I fitted the toolbox perfectly. After that, the problem arose. It is a place where I put my receiver hitch so it won't get in In the process of opening my tailgate and receiver hitch, I fell and broke the bottom of the Thus, I was supposed to have contacted the seller about a replacement, but I In order to repair the cracks, I opted to epoxy them. A piece of plywood was cut and put on the bottom of the cabinet. To equalize weight as well as cushion the bottom, I also used some spray foam under the plywood. As we move forward, we will see how this works. Make sure not to weight too much.
