Questions & Answers

Will this lock fit on my camper top, which can be locked to the left counterclockwise?

It's a good time to- As far as the locking mechanism is concerned, the handle should be horizontal. Consequently, if you were to turn the handle clockwise to open, you would order the clockwise T If you turn the handle in the counterclockwise direction it will open the counterclockwise turn

Is the mounting hardware included with this item?

There were two screws included in my purchase. Although it doesn't come with an inside handle, I was able to use the one that I already had.

It has an older aluminum campertop, which I have on my hardbody Nissan. Do you think this would work?

As long as it looks similar to the handle on your campertop, it should work. There should be 2 screws as attachment points on the mounting flange which is in contact with the door/hatch/window. Taking them off or loosening them will help. You may have a handle stem that slides out of a rotating square hole, or it may have an arm or bracket attached to it that locks the handle in place. Make sure you measure the spacing between the 2 screws and also the size of the shaft after measuring the distance across the mounting flange. I think it would be able to fit if these measurements were the same as the new one. There is no manufacturer's label on these Please make sure the one you order will open in the same direction as your old one. A simple fit is all that is necessary, if it does not, you should start again If you want to return it, you can do so. As you can see from the photo, all the things I mentioned should be measured are shown.

What lock should I put on my shell so no one can break into it? My dog is inside the shell, can you ?

It seems you are asking if you can lock your dog in the shell since your dog is inside. A ford ranger shell fits this car. Can you tell me if this will There is a Ford F-150 at the office The cost is $150 and works well There shouldn't be any issues with the shell or truck size, so I would assume that it will work out There is a lock on the box, so it can be locked.

Use only in areas without significant salt accumulation
3/5

I removed an old one on my ARE truck cap and installed this one. It fit fine and replaced an old one that had almost ten years left on it. A couple of weeks later, it showed significant Our winters in the northeast involve a lot of snow, ice, and salt, but the old handle does not appear to be as bad when it's.

Handles must be part of what you already have
3/5

locking bar on your existing topper had to be reused in order to install these handles. When you do not have a forecast or if it has been damaged this is not the forecast you need to use. A handle with a locking bar is best. Since the existing handles used screws in their construction, I had to drill out the screws in order to use them. They had to be returned and exchanged for another set of products. It's not just the product that concerns me, but the lack of customer support as well.

It is perfection
5/5

Perfectly suited my needs! There's little else to say about this item except that it's an ideal replacement for an ARE camper shell, as well as some others. The first time you installed it, it did not work, but if you uninstalled, turned the key to a different position, and then reinstalled, it worked.

Hardware is needed to mount the system
4/5

ARE shells are compatible with it. The ARE shell is used. In this case, it is appropriate. It does not come with mounting hardware, which is why it was given one star off. In order to mount the handle as it is, I needed to purchase mounting bolts since the threads on the stock ARE handle do not fit this handle. It seems to me that it should come with It took a trip to the home depot to find the right The handle is at home depot, so why buy it online if I have to go there anyway? Most auto parts stores have these in stock, and even big box stores.

This handle is excellent for replacement
5/5

A used Century camper shell that was missing its keys recently came to my attention. Instead of paying a locksmith for a key, I decided a new handle to replace the old corroded one would be a better decision. I had a rivet in place to secure the handle of this old shell, as many old shells did. It is easy to remove them with a drill bit. Take a drill bit about the size of the rivet hole, and carefully drill out the hole. Besides drilling holes in the door frame to accept the new handle, I also had to drill holes in the door frame. You must drill slowly and carefully, and you must also not flex the glass or door. There was a set of screws included with this product. I like it a lot!.

Uncover was the focus of my work
5/5

The cover can be easily changed. I could not be more pleased with the fit of my unicover top. The vertical is locked, turn clockwise to unlock it The lock has a single handle in the center.

I replaced my older canopy with this one and it is perfect
5/5

I found the installation process to be straightforward. (I drilled a few holes in the canopy to fit the screws since the old T-pillar was unsupported by the screws) A rivet was attached to the handle. As soon as it was all finished, it fit well. My original implementation was for an older Gem atop Navajo, but I am certain that the same approach can be applied to more or less any other Gem.

This replacement handle is much better than the low-quality ARE handles
5/5

This handle is made entirely of metal. There is no doubt that the handle of this ARE canopy is significantly stronger than the plastic version that twisted off in my hand one day. It also costs half.
