You have asked a great question, and I appreciate it! In this case, we have a 980P You should be able to fit the coupler between your 980 and 980 A coupler is installed on each side. It has a pin and chain, hence the "P" in the model number.

You asked about the model number of the 3083. That number does not appear on any D-SIGN models There are two types of L couplings. The coupler on your computer is a D-type Do you know where that 3083 number is marked on top of the L coupler? This code means that your coupler was manufactured in the 30th week of 1983 if it is a date code. The top of the coupler should have another number stamped into it, which will say "MODEL 9XX-." Below this number should be the date code. Modèle "X" (such as "MODEL 980" The following are model numbers "985-32", "MODEL 985-32", etc. The third and fourth).
